Tommy Seymour has had an amazing start to his season for Glasgow. Over the course of two games he has scored six tries. Four of those tries came this weekend at home against Leinster. Seymour is currently the leading try scorer in the Pro12. He currently has double the tries of the second place Sam Perry. Although Glasgow’s performance last season was a let down to Pro 12 fans. This year they are making a terrific start to the season. Tommy Seymour has been playing for Glasgow since 2012 and has 29 caps for Scotland. He needs only two more tries to break his single season best of seven tries in one season. A wing with the ability to score tries like him is something that both Glasgow and Scotland desperately need.

A lot of talk about the Pro12 has been very negative over the past few years. The quality difference between the top and bottom half has been frustrating for many fans. The uncertainty of the Pro12’s future has forced them to look to expansion to bring in enough money to keep the lights on. Games like Glasgow vs Leinster are what rugby fans need to see to keep an interest in the struggling conference. This game had everything necessary for a classic. It had a come from behind victory, and an amazing individual performance.

The downside of this game is that, if the Pro12 is serious about expanding to the United States, this is the game they needed to see. Americans love high scoring matches and come from behind victories. This game would have done very well for the Pro12’s potential future in the United States.
