AEW Dynamite Road Rager<\/strong> has proven to be a night of surprises. Perhaps the biggest of the night began with an in-ring promo with Arn Anderson<\/strong>. He spoke highly about being in Miami, which earned him a massive ovation. However, before he could get further, the lights temporarily went out. When they reemerged, standing in the ring with Anderson was Malakai Black<\/strong>, formerly known as Aleister Black<\/strong> in World Wrestling Entertainment<\/strong> and Tommy End<\/strong> on the independent scene.<\/p>\n

Malakai Black immediately put down Anderson with his trademark spin kick. This promoted Cody Rhodes<\/strong>, who defeated QT Marshall<\/strong> in a South Beach Strap Match earlier in the night, to rush the ring. Not unlike Anderson, Rhodes became the recipient of a spin kick as well. Silent still, Black made his way out of the ring. On commentary, Excalibur<\/strong> noted that this wasn’t the Tommy End that he knew. Rather, it was a different being entirely.<\/p>\n
