On this week’s NXT<\/strong>, it was announced that a series of hungry competitors will have an opportunity to make a statement on the black-and-gold brand. It was confirmed that the NXT Breakout Tournament<\/em><\/strong> will return in two weeks. The tournament in question started in 2019 but was absent in 2020, one of the reasons being the COVID-19 pandemic. In two weeks, the NXT Breakout Tournament 2021<\/em> will kick off. The details regarding specific competitors and the prize for the winner, as of this writing, are unknown.<\/p>\n

The first-ever NXT Breakout Tournament<\/em> took place in the summer of 2019. In addition to competing on a notable platform, the winner would receive a title match of their choice. The tournament in question saw a number of wrestlers that are regulars on the brand today. These include Dexter Lumis<\/strong><\/a>, Cameron Grimes<\/strong>, Isaiah “Swerve” Scott<\/strong>, and current NXT North American Champion Bronson Reed<\/strong>. That year’s tournament was won by Jordan Myles<\/strong>, who is perhaps better known on the independent wrestling scene as ACH<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
