These two just get it. They know that they are not going to have a technical classic, but instead a brutal war in and out of the match. When adding the Hell in a Cell aspect, that is really a game-changer. From the opening bell, these two did everything in their power to destroy the other and from a viewer’s standpoint, that’s all you could ask for. McIntyre fought and at many times looked to be the one in control, something not expected as the babyface of the match. But what this showed was that Lashley could take anything McIntyre gave.

Battered and bruised were these two by the time we reached the halfway point. Every single time it felt as though McIntyre was going to win, Lashley survived. MVP would get involved once the original referee got wrecked by a steel chair. That would have a major effect on how this one would go in the end. McIntyre awaited the final Claymore shot to put Lashley out, but MVP would grab the foot of “The Scottish Psychopath,” allowing “The All Mighty” to roll McIntyre up to defend his title and end any hope for McIntyre in winning the title while Lashley is champion. This was everything a fan can ask for in a physically exciting main event.

More from LWOS Pro Wrestling

Stay tuned to the Last Word on Pro Wrestling for more on this and other stories from around the world of wrestling, as they develop.
