Samoa Joe<\/strong> is returning to WWE and will be a part of the NXT brand once again according to reports by both PWInsider<\/a> and The Wrestling Observer. PWInsider adds that they were told Triple H<\/strong> “snatched him back” as soon as possible following his release in April. Both PWInsider and Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer add that this is expected to be a non-wrestling role, at least to start. \u201cHe has taken a job in NXT, and he\u2019s doing something there,\u201d Meltzer said during Wrestling Observer Radio<\/a>. With NXT General Manager William Regal<\/strong> announcing that there would be change this coming Tuesday at the conclusion of NXT TakeOver: In Your House<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, many believe that could be Joe in a certain capacity. Fightful Select<\/a> had reported late last week that Joe had even been at the Performance Center recently as his return was possible.<\/p>\n

Samoa Joe was one of the many names released by WWE<\/a> days after WrestleMania 37<\/em> <\/strong>in April. His last time appearing on WWE television was at that very event, as he called the majority of the night alongside Tom Phillips as part of the Raw commentary booth. Joe hasn’t wrestled in any capacity since Feb. 10, 2020, due to injuries that are undisclosed.<\/p>\n

If Joe is able to be cleared to wrestle, many have to believe that the first-ever two-time NXT Champion could join the ranks of the roster as well down the line. For now, it looks as though he will be able to cause some chaos in a non-wrestling capacity for the black and gold brand.<\/p>\n
