Coming from San Juan, Puerto Rico, <strong>Carlos Calder\u00f3n<\/strong> \u2013 Bellito\u2019s real name \u2013 has some of the best qualities to become a presence in the island and maybe in the international scene.<\/p>\n<h1>Puerto Rico\u2019s Top Prospects (Part 2): Bellito<\/h1>\n<p>As <strong>Championship Wrestling School<\/strong> \u2013 a Puerto Rican wrestling promotion for up &amp; coming talent \u2013 became more popular and landed a deal with <strong>Wapa 2<\/strong> \u2013 Puerto Rico\u2019s premiere channel for sport \u2013, it became apparent that part of that rise from the underground trough almost every home in the island was in part due to the growth and ability of Bellito.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_9305\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-9305\" style=\"width: 500px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-9305\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2017\/11\/19149220_1376177902467217_1914726696630530252_n-e1510261353708.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"499\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-9305\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Bellito&#8217;s Facebook<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The man that started in a very successful film out of Puerto Rico,\u00a0<strong><em>Por amor en el Caserio<\/em><\/strong>, He dreamed of becoming a stable in the Puerto Rican wrestling scene. The man stumble in a lot of <em>clich\u00e9s<\/em> from the get-go when he entered <strong>CWS<\/strong>. Lacking in creativity \u2013 he used to have similar face paint to Finn Balor\u2019s Demon gimmick \u2013 Bellito was criticize in his babyface days with the company and even in his role as a \u201cbackstage reporter\u201d for the <strong>World Wrestling League<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>It seemed that the former actor was rushed into the spot light without preparation, but in the summer of 2017, something changed, suddenly\u2026 the lack of charisma and originality from Bellito would disappear slowly.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_9306\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-9306\" style=\"width: 499px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-9306\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2017\/11\/19554045_1389744397777234_8474066650359263685_n-e1510261507610.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"499\" height=\"600\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-9306\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Bellito&#8217;s Facebook<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>CWS had their famous debut in the historic Pepin Cestero in Bayamon. Bellito was the semi-main event against Puerto Rican veteran and former IWA and WWL World Champion <strong>Hiram Tua<\/strong> for the <strong>CWS Heavyweight Championship<\/strong> \u2013 at that moment Tua held the title. Bellito came out that night with a new glare, with a fresh spirit. Changing his attire, he showed he was without a doubt the most athletic wrestler in the whole island. His move seemed to matter more, his arsenal changed a lot and even his attitude towards the fan, the man seemed to now be getting it.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/cwslanuevageneracion\/videos\/1256582371130228\/?fref=mentions\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">That night, Bellito became a 2-time CWS Champion,<\/a> but this time, he was ready. Later that night, he would turn \u201cheel\u201d and become part of a stable that it\u2019s on a crusade against veterans in the island. Commanded by the youngest Universal Champion in WWC\u2019s history <strong>BJ<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/wGL5nrOYTdM\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bellito was now part of <strong>No to Mummies!<\/strong> <\/a>(<em>!No a las Mom\u00edas! in Spanish)<\/em> From then to now, his ability and more confident promos are doing wonders for him. He is arguably CWS\u2019s must-see talent, having feuds for his CWS Championship with almost everybody in the roster.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_9303\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-9303\" style=\"width: 500px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-9303\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2017\/11\/15698011_1194621183956224_515395563240543463_n-e1510261392399.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-9303\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Bellito&#8217;s Facebook<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Things even got better in August, when he debuted for <strong>World Wrestling Council<\/strong> \u2013 Puerto Rico\u2019s premier promotion \u2013 and now is featured nationally throughout the island in Puerto Rico\u2019s number one channel WAPA and WAPA America. It seemed that the writers are impressed with him, as he is now being giving a spot in the lower card and being feature in the <strong>Sindicato <\/strong>vs. <strong>WWC Roster<\/strong> story.<\/p>\n<p>We can only hope what he will do in the next 3 years\u2026<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome Back!
