Long-time Texas wrestling promoter <strong>Tom Lance<\/strong> formed <strong>Southwest Wrestling Entertainment<\/strong> in 2016. Lance previously worked with Texas legends <strong>\u201cGentleman\u201d Chris Adams<\/strong> and <strong>General Skandor Akbar<\/strong>. SWE is quickly becoming a hotbed for professional wrestling in the Dallas area and looks to fill the void left behind by <strong>The Von Erich Family<\/strong> many years ago.<\/p>\n<p>On-screen, <strong>WWE<\/strong> Hall of Fame Inductee <strong>Theodore R. \u201cTeddy\u201d Long<\/strong>, long-time referee and manager with both <strong>WCW<\/strong> and WWE, serves as the General Manager of Southwest Wrestling Entertainment. Assisting Long as a consultant and enforcer is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wwe.com\/shows\/wwe-hall-of-fame\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">WWE Hall of Fame<\/a> Inductee, \u201cThe World Strongest Man\u201d <strong>Mark Henry<\/strong>; he replaces former enforcer, the recently deceased <strong>Road Warrior Animal<\/strong>. In addition to these wrestling legends, former <strong>World Class Championship Wrestling<\/strong> Senior Referee <strong>James Beard<\/strong> is the Head of Talent Relations, and former WCW star <strong>Kevin Sullivan<\/strong> provides commentary.<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/youtu.be\/5IW4F3rCVW0<\/p>\n<p>The current SWE Champion is former <strong>Team Angle<\/strong> member <strong>Charlie Haas<\/strong>. Haas is the second man to hold the belt, winning the title from former <strong>NWA<\/strong> World Heavyweight Champion <strong>Tim Storm<\/strong>. Former Teddy Long managerial client <strong>Rodney Mack<\/strong> is the current SWE Television Champion. Mack currently boasts the longest active reign of any champion in the company. Both he and his wife <strong>Jazz<\/strong> occupy spots on the SWE roster.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/2020\/02\/18\/indie-star-christi-jaynes-makes-aew-debut\/\" target=\"_self\"><strong>Christi Jaynes<\/strong><\/a>, who in 2020 worked with <strong>Hikaru Shida<\/strong> and <strong>Big Swole<\/strong> in <strong>AEW<\/strong>, as well as <strong>Kiera Hogan<\/strong> in <strong>IMPACT Wrestling<\/strong>, is the current SWE Women\u2019s Champion. Jaynes won the title from <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/2019\/11\/21\/2nd-generation-wrestler-miranda-gordy-heading-to-japan\/\" target=\"_self\"><em>Miranda Gordy<\/em><\/a>, the daughter of the late Freebird, <strong>Terry \u201cBam Bam\u201d Gordy<\/strong>. Miranda defeated the inaugural Women\u2019s Champion, Jazz, to win the title before losing it to Jaynes.<\/p>\n<p>The SWE Tag Team Champions are <strong>Jon Omari<\/strong> and <strong>Mike Anthony<\/strong>, who form the team of <strong>OMG<\/strong>.
