This past week, the WWE held another week of tryouts down in Orlando at the WWE Performance Center and the list of names features the usual mix of indie wrestlers with fitness models and athletes. Squared Circle Sirens<\/a><\/strong> revealed the list of women in attendance yesterday, and it’s founder, Casey Michael<\/strong>, revealed a more extensive list including male participants on his own Twitter<\/a> feed as well.<\/p>\n

Several Indie Names at This Week’s WWE Tryouts<\/h1>\n

Here’s a quick look at the names revealed to be at the WWE Performance Center this week (note, we’re only reporting indie wrestlers at the PC):<\/p>\n

MADISON RAYNE<\/strong><\/h3>\n

We’d reported Madison Rayne was at the PC yesterday<\/a>, but it now definitely appears that the former 5x Knockouts Champion is indeed there for a wrestler tryout. At 31 years old, she’s still got a lot left – she’s the actually the same age as Charlotte Flair<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

MIKE MENDOZA<\/strong><\/h3>\n

If you follow our Caribbean Reports, you’ve most likely heard this name before. Mike Mendoza is currently one of Puerto Rico’s fastest rising stars. The 26 year old began with the now defunct IWA<\/strong>, before heading to WWC<\/strong> in 2012. He spent five years with Carlos Colon<\/strong>‘s promotion, before jumping ship to WWL<\/strong> this year.<\/p>\n

ALEX HAMMERSTONE<\/strong><\/h3>\n

A big Suplex Machine from the west coast, Hammerstone is a regular with Oregon’s West Coast Wrestling Connection (WCWC)<\/strong> and has worked with Championship Wrestling From Hollywood (CWFH)<\/strong> and Paragon Pro Wrestling (PPW)<\/strong>\u00a0out of Las Vegas.<\/p>\n

KAREN Q<\/strong><\/h3>\n

She’s only been wrestling for a few years now, but this student of WWE Hall of Famer Johnny Rodz<\/strong> is making an impact. She’s worked with Beyond, ECWA, AIW, Game Changer Wrestling (GCW)<\/strong>, but perhaps her biggest meeting this year was when she defeated Kelly Klein<\/strong> and Deonna Purrazzo<\/strong> in Ring of Honor<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

OWEN TRAVERS<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Trained by former ROH manager Truth Martini<\/strong>, Travers got his start out of Detroit’s XICW<\/strong>. He’s worked a few matches for Ring of Honor and IWA Mid South<\/strong>, and recently returned to his native California and working the west coast indies more.<\/p>\n

LEA NOX<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Lea Nox is a Florida indie wrestler and the Fighting Evolution Wrestling (FEW)<\/strong> Women’s Champion out of Miami. She’s also worked for SHINE<\/strong>, appearing in the tournament for the new SHINE Nova Championship. She’s had prior WWE experience, in an enhancement role on NXT in a match against Jazzy Gabert<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

ROY ‘FLASH’ GORDON<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Midwest indie wrestler who’s worked for such promotions as Freelance, Anarchy Pro<\/strong> and others around the Illinois area. Also known for his tag team, Superiority Complex<\/strong>, with Tony Nas<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

FABIAN RIBEIRO<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Real name\u00a0Munraj Sahota, he’s the son of Canadian legend Gama Singh<\/strong>, a huge star in Stampede Wrestling<\/strong>, who also worked for the WWF in the early 80’s. He began wrestling as Gama Singh Jr.<\/strong> and worked in a tag team with his cousin, current WWE Champion Jinder Mahal<\/strong>, in Prairie Wrestling Alliance (PWA)<\/strong> and other Canadian indies, as The New Karachi Vice<\/strong> (named after his father’s infamous Karachi Vice stable in the 1970s).<\/p>\n

NATALIA MARKOVA<\/strong><\/h3>\n

An indie wrestler from Russia, she’s worked in parts of Asia and Europe, most notably with Russia’s major indie, Independent Wrestling Federation (IWF)<\/strong>. She’s recently relocated to the United States, where she’s appeared for SHINE<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

MATTHEW JUSTICE<\/strong><\/h3>\n

A 10-year indie veteran with such promotions as AIW, NYWC<\/strong>, Beyond, EVOLVE<\/strong> and many more, he actually had a brief stint in WWE developmental back in 2011 with Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

ROBO THE PUNJABI LION<\/strong><\/h3>\n
