{"id":8597,"date":"2017-10-14T11:57:54","date_gmt":"2017-10-14T15:57:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/?p=8597"},"modified":"2017-10-25T15:10:50","modified_gmt":"2017-10-25T19:10:50","slug":"october-wwe-tryouts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/2017\/10\/14\/october-wwe-tryouts\/","title":{"rendered":"Several Indie Names at This Week&#8217;s WWE Tryouts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This past week, the WWE held another week of tryouts down in Orlando at the WWE Performance Center and the list of names features the usual mix of indie wrestlers with fitness models and athletes. <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/squaredcirclesirens.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Squared Circle Sirens<\/a><\/strong> revealed the list of women in attendance yesterday, and it&#8217;s founder, <strong>Casey Michael<\/strong>, revealed a more extensive list including male participants on <a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/badboicasey\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">his own Twitter<\/a> feed as well.<\/p>\n<h1>Several Indie Names at This Week&#8217;s WWE Tryouts<\/h1>\n<p>Here&#8217;s a quick look at the names revealed to be at the WWE Performance Center this week (note, we&#8217;re only reporting indie wrestlers at the PC):<\/p>\n<h3><strong>MADISON RAYNE<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_8604\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-8604\" style=\"width: 640px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-8604\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2017\/10\/wwe-madison-rayne_1-933x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"702\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-8604\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Impact Wrestling<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>We&#8217;d reported <a href=\"http:\/\/lastwordonprowrestling.com\/2017\/10\/13\/three-big-names-wwe-performance-center-week\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Madison Rayne was at the PC yesterday<\/a>, but it now definitely appears that the former 5x Knockouts Champion is indeed there for a wrestler tryout. At 31 years old, she&#8217;s still got a lot left &#8211; she&#8217;s the actually the same age as <strong>Charlotte Flair<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>MIKE MENDOZA<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-8605\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2017\/10\/mike-mendoza-e1507995043874.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\"><\/p>\n<p>If you follow our Caribbean Reports, you&#8217;ve most likely heard this name before. Mike Mendoza is currently one of Puerto Rico&#8217;s fastest rising stars. The 26 year old began with the now defunct <strong>IWA<\/strong>, before heading to <strong>WWC<\/strong> in 2012. She&#8217;s worked with <strong>Beyond, ECWA, AIW, Game Changer Wrestling (GCW)<\/strong>, but perhaps her biggest meeting this year was when she defeated <strong>Kelly Klein<\/strong> and <strong>Deonna Purrazzo<\/strong> in <strong>Ring of Honor<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>OWEN TRAVERS<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-8606\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2017\/10\/580cfec354owentravers-e1507995377193.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"536\"><\/p>\n<p>Trained by former ROH manager <strong>Truth Martini<\/strong>, Travers got his start out of Detroit&#8217;s <strong>XICW<\/strong>. He&#8217;s worked a few matches for Ring of Honor and <strong>IWA Mid South<\/strong>, and recently returned to his native California and working the west coast indies more.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>LEA NOX<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-8601 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2017\/10\/leanox-e1507995407343.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\"><\/p>\n<p>Lea Nox is a Florida indie wrestler and the <strong>Fighting Evolution Wrestling (FEW)<\/strong> Women&#8217;s Champion out of Miami. She&#8217;s also worked for <strong>SHINE<\/strong>, appearing in the tournament for the new SHINE Nova Championship.
