This episode marks the end of season five; to say that it has been an action-packed one would be an understatement. On the previous episode alone, fans saw multiple competitors in the AEW Women’s World Championship Eliminator Tournament, as well as the champion herself, take part in the action. What does Gatoh Move Pro Wrestling have in store for this season finale? Here’s what long-time viewers and newcomers can expect.

Chie Koishikawa and Sayuri vs. Lulu Pencil and Tokiko Kirihara

In what will be a showcase of the fourth generation of Gatoh Move, Lulu Pencil and Tokiko Kirihara will reunite to take on the duo of Chie Koishikawa and Sayuri. The last time that Lulu Pencil and Kirihara teamed up, in standard tag action, was back on episode fifty-one this past September. On this episode, they were successful in their match against Koishikawa and Emi Sakura. Can the unlikely duo of the Pencil Army commanding officer and the Showa Era enthusiast pull out another win on the season five finale of ChocoPro?

This may not be an easy effort given the quality of their opponents. Chie Koishikawa, the girl with “Too Much Energy,” has had rocky luck as of late. This has been especially true in singles action. However, as evidenced by episode eighty-six, when she teamed with Hagane Shinnou to defeat Antonio Honda and Baliyan Akki, Koishikawa performs well in tag team action. She will be fighting alongside Sayuri, the “Kunoichi” of Gatoh Move. Sayuri will be making her first ChocoPro appearance since episode eight-five this past January. Alongside Koishikawa, can Sayuri make her ChocoPro return a win?

Baliyan Akki vs. Hagane Shinnou

Though Baliyan Akki is known in ChocoPro as a tag team specialist – he is one half of the Asia Dream Tag Team Champions alongside Mei Suruga – he will have to get into a singles mindset on this episode of ChocoPro. Akki isn’t familiar with big challenges on ChocoPro where he had to fight solo. From Minoru Suzuki to Masato Tanaka and beyond, Akki has built experience facing a wide array of opponents. On this episode, the high-flying sensation from India will continue to do so. He will battle the ice-cold striker himself, Hagane Shinnou.

Don’t let his silent demeanor fool you; when the bell rings, Hagane Shinnou is as dangerous as they come. His kicks, whether in matches or during the post-match janken tournaments, have struck fear in the hearts of ChocoPro competitors. Furthermore, one may argue that Shinnou has a claim to the Asia Dream Tag Team Championship; on episode eighty-six, Shinnou teamed with Chie Koishikawa to defeat the titleholders themselves, Best Bros. If Shinnou defeats Akki on the season five finale, the aforementioned claim will hold that much more weight.

Apple Queens (Mei Suruga and Emi Sakura) vs. Yuna Mizumori and Ryo Mizunami (ChocoPro Main Event)

On the season five finale of ChocoPro, Apple Queens will reunite. The duo of Mei Suruga and Emi Sakura was last seen this past December; they teamed up at a Michinoku Pro Wrestling event in a winning effort over Chie Koishikawa and Baliyan Akki. Later that month, Suruga and Akki, known collectively as Best Bros, defeated Sakura and longtime tag team partner Kaori Yoneyama for their first Asia Dream Tag Team Championship victory. Now, after several battles against one another, Suruga and Sakura must coexist to take on a challenge that will undoubtedly pack a punch.

Yuna Mizumori battled Ryo Mizunami on the previous episode of ChocoPro in a hard-hitting collision. Though Mizunami was the more seasoned fighter, Mizumori refused to back down, hitting the SEAdLINNNG star with everything she had. In the end, it was “Aniki” that picked up the win, though she showed respect to Gatoh Move’s “Pineapple Girl” following their match. One must wonder, if they could cause so much carnage one-on-one, how much more could they create as a tandem? When it comes to main event tag team encounters, this will be one to keep an eye on as ChocoPro season five inches toward its conclusion.

ChocoPro #90 will air on February 14 at 10:00 AM JST (February 13 at 8:00 PM EST)

It will air live on the Gatoh Move YouTube channel for free before being available for on-demand viewing afterward.
