{"id":84171,"date":"2021-02-01T14:00:05","date_gmt":"2021-02-01T19:00:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/?p=84171"},"modified":"2021-02-01T13:36:30","modified_gmt":"2021-02-01T18:36:30","slug":"whats-next-rhea-ripley-royal-rumble","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/2021\/02\/01\/whats-next-rhea-ripley-royal-rumble\/","title":{"rendered":"Whats Next For Rhea Ripley After Royal Rumble Showing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>During the 2021\u00a0<em>Royal Rumble\u00a0<\/em>Rhea Ripley finished as the runner up and even finished with the most eliminations in the women&#8217;s Royal Rumble with seven.\u00a0 It&#8217;s generally considered that this was Ripley&#8217;s call up as she hasn&#8217;t been seen on NXT since her defeat on January 6th at <em>New Year&#8217;s Evil<\/em> where she put over\u00a0<strong>Raquel Gonzalez<\/strong>.\u00a0 We take a look at where Ripley may go from here after her impressive showing in the Royal Rumble.<\/p>\n<h2>If She Goes To SmackDown: Feud With Tamina<\/h2>\n<p>During the Royal Rumble, they went out of their way to clear the way for Tamina and Rhea Ripley to throw hands.\u00a0 Tamina hasn&#8217;t been pushed much but the visual of her and Ripley fighting is enough to make it a great first feud for Ripley as Ripley can get a clear win to propel her to the top of the division.<\/p>\n<h2>If She Goes To RAW: Feud With Alexa Bliss<\/h2>\n<p>During the Royal Rumble match, Alexa Bliss was clearly on the way to embracing her inner demon when she was thrown out by Rhea Ripley.\u00a0 There is no way that Bliss is going to let that infraction go without punishment.\u00a0 Ripley is the kind of cool and fearless competitor who could face down the many faces of Alexa Bliss which would go a long way to showing main roster audiences how cool Ripley is.\u00a0 The issue here is neither woman can afford to lose but it would immediately insert Ripley into a headline feud on the show.<\/p>\n<h2>WrestleMania Clash With Charlotte Flair<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"337\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-66187\" src=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2020\/04\/Rhea-Ripley-vs-Charlotte-Flair.jpg\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2020\/04\/Rhea-Ripley-vs-Charlotte-Flair.jpg 600w, https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2020\/04\/Rhea-Ripley-vs-Charlotte-Flair-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Last year at WrestleMania Charlotte Flair defeated Rhea Ripley to win the NXT Women&#8217;s Championship.\u00a0 This feud was Ripley&#8217;s biggest feud to date but Ripley never got payback for her defeat, it was\u00a0<strong>Io Shirai\u00a0<\/strong>that took the title from Flair in a triple threat match.\u00a0 The best way to showcase Ripley&#8217;s growth would be to have her and Flair go face to face once again, but this time have Ripley come out on top to create a new star in the women&#8217;s division, as both could do with some.<\/p>\n<p><em>Stay tuned to the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/\" target=\"_self\">Last Word on Pro Wrestling<\/a>\u00a0for more on this and other stories from around the world of wrestling, as they develop.
