{"id":83984,"date":"2021-01-29T10:02:37","date_gmt":"2021-01-29T15:02:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/?p=83984"},"modified":"2021-01-29T10:02:37","modified_gmt":"2021-01-29T15:02:37","slug":"meiko-satomura-signs-nxt-uk","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/2021\/01\/29\/meiko-satomura-signs-nxt-uk\/","title":{"rendered":"WWE Announces Four New NXT UK Signings"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>WWE continues to snap up independent talent from all across the world.\u00a0 After their acquisitions of\u00a0<strong>Cora Jade, Gigi Dolin<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Zoey Stark\u00a0<\/strong>we figured they were done until\u00a0<strong>Sareee&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>class arrived.\u00a0 That was not the case as four new NXT UK signings have been announced.\u00a0 Joshi legend\u00a0<strong>Meiko Satomura\u00a0<\/strong>headlines this round and even appeared on the show yesterday.\u00a0 Let&#8217;s take a look at these newest signings<\/p>\n<h2>Meiko Satomura<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"554\" height=\"432\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-16483\" src=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/03\/Screen-Shot-2018-03-31-at-5.02.24-PM.png\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/03\/Screen-Shot-2018-03-31-at-5.02.24-PM.png 554w, https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/03\/Screen-Shot-2018-03-31-at-5.02.24-PM-300x234.png 300w, https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/03\/Screen-Shot-2018-03-31-at-5.02.24-PM-539x420.png 539w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 554px) 100vw, 554px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Satomura is a performer who should need no introduction.\u00a0 A competitor in the Mae Young Classic she has wrestled and won championships all over the world.\u00a0 At 41 she isn&#8217;t going to be the same killer who combat legends like\u00a0<strong>Akira Hokuto\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Aja Kong\u00a0<\/strong>but she has still proven in recent years to be a top-tier wrestler.\u00a0 Satomura goes in to NXT UK with a track record of success as a former\u00a0<strong>PROGRESS <\/strong>Women&#8217;s Champion<strong>, Fight Club Pro <\/strong>Champion, the first-ever female KO-D Openweight Champion, former World Of Stardom Champion, and the 2016 King Of Trios winner to name but a few of her accolades.<\/p>\n<h2>Lucky Kid\/Metehan<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-40434\" src=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2019\/03\/D1UkoCaWkAUdv7O-e1556650107794.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>Metehan spent most of his time on the indies competing as Lucky Kid.\u00a0 Under that moniker he had his best run in Germany&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Westside Xtreme Wrestling (wXw)\u00a0<\/strong>where he won their annual 16 Carat Gold tournament.\u00a0 He competed all over Europe for top indies like PROGRESS, FightClub: Pro,\u00a0<strong>RevPro UK<\/strong>, and even wrestled for\u00a0<strong>Pro Wrestling Guerilla (PWG)\u00a0<\/strong>in the USA.<\/p>\n<h2>Tony Gill<\/h2>\n<p>Gill is likely most known for his run in\u00a0<strong>IMPACT Wrestling\u00a0<\/strong>as part of the Desi Hit Sqaud, he was Gursinder Singh.\u00a0 The Lance Storm trainee has 5 years of wrestling experience under his belt and is now looking to make an impact in NXT UK<\/p>\n<h2>Bailey Matthews<\/h2>\n<p>Bailey Matthews, the son of William Regal, has joined NXT UK.\u00a0 Matthews career so far has been tough to track down but it seems he spent some time in Germany in 2019 after working for\u00a0<strong>All Star Wrestling\u00a0<\/strong>beforehand.\u00a0 Latest rumors were that he was interested in heading to\u00a0<strong>New Japan Pro Wrestling\u00a0<\/strong>but he has now joined WWE and will represent Blackpool in NXT UK<\/p>\n<p>Stay tuned to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/\" target=\"_self\">Last Word on Pro Wrestling<\/a>\u00a0for more on this and other stories from around the world of wrestling, as they develop.
