This year&#8217;s field also featured UK wrestlers <strong>Jinny<\/strong> and <strong>Laura Di Matteo<\/strong> and Germany&#8217;s <strong>Wesna<\/strong>, <strong>Melanie Gray<\/strong> and <strong>Killer Kelly<\/strong>. Storm defeated her <strong>PROGRESS<\/strong> rival Jinny in the first round, then Germany&#8217;s Wesna in the second round, before defeating Viper in the finals. Last year&#8217;s inaugural Femme Fatales winner was another Mae Young Classic competitor, Germany&#8217;s own <strong>&#8220;Alpha Female&#8221; Jazzy Gabert<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_8391\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-8391\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-8391\" src=\"http:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2017\/10\/DKADjXDUEAAPG4E-696x464-e1507425837296.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-8391\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Stardom<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>This win marks the fourth major tournament win for Storm this year &#8211; alongside <strong>Stardom<\/strong>&#8216;s <strong>Cinderella<\/strong> elimination tournament in April, PROGRESS&#8217; <strong>Natural Progressions Series IV<\/strong> in May and Stardom&#8217;s <strong>5STAR Grand Prix<\/strong> tournament (similar to <strong>NJPW<\/strong>&#8216;s <strong>G1 Climax<\/strong>) just last month. She also made the Final Four in WWE&#8217;s Mae Young Classic tournament this summer before losing to eventual winner <strong>Kairi Sane<\/strong> in one of the tournaments stand out matches. In June she also competed in <strong>British Empire Wrestling (BEW)<\/strong>&#8216;s <strong>International Grand Prix<\/strong> tournament, but was a surprise knockout in the first round, losing her shot at another tournament victory as well as her BEW Women&#8217;s Championship, which he&#8217;d held 181 days going in.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_8385\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-8385\" style=\"width: 460px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-8385\" src=\"http:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2017\/10\/DEnKe4VXUAAJHFI-903x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"460\" height=\"522\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-8385\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: James Musselwhite \/ facebook.com\/portraitofawrestler<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>But although she lost her BEW title, she picked up two even bigger singles titles this year as well. By winning the Natural Progression Series IV in PROGRESS (defeating fellow wXw Femme Fatales competitors Jinny and Laura Di Matteo), Toni Storm was crowned the inaugural PROGRESS Women&#8217;s Champion, a title she&#8217;s now held 133 days. And just two weeks ago, she capped off a stellar year in Japan with defeating World of Stardom Champion Mayu Iwatani for the top single belt in Stardom, <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprowrestling.com\/2017\/09\/24\/breaking-storm-new-stardom-champ-iwatani-injured\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">albeit under some tragic circumstances<\/a>.
