Headed by Impact Creative Director <strong>Scott D&#8217;Amore<\/strong>, it&#8217;s also an outlet for D&#8217;Amore&#8217;s heralded wrestling School, <strong>The Can-Am Wrestling School<\/strong>, which has produced such current talent as WWE\/NXT Superstars <strong>Bobby Roode<\/strong>, <strong>Eric Young<\/strong>, Impact stars like <strong>Rosemary<\/strong> and been early career homes for talent like <strong>Tye Dillinger<\/strong>, <strong>Gail Kim<\/strong>, <strong>Sienna<\/strong>, <strong>Kongo Kong<\/strong> and more. Along with Scott D&#8217;Amore and <strong>Chuck Fader<\/strong>, he founded BCW in 1993. Sadly, Chevalier passed away in 2000. BCW holds an annual <strong>Doug Chevalier Memorial Gauntlet<\/strong> every BCW Excellence, which sees veteran Michigan and Ontario indie wrestlers compete against up-and-comers in a 20-man gauntlet matchup to win the prestigious trophy at the end of the match. Past winners have included <strong>Amazing N8 Mattson<\/strong> (2016), <strong>John E. Bravo<\/strong> (2015), <strong>Bobby Clancy<\/strong> (2014), <strong>Mike Legacy<\/strong> (2005), and more. Like every year, the 20 entrants are a mystery until bell time.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>&#8220;The Canadian Destroyer&#8221; Petey Williams vs. Idris Ibrahim vs. ?? vs. ??<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_8422\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-8422\" style=\"width: 640px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-8422\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2017\/10\/21013864_10155727989629791_2591420722556814709_o-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-8422\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: BCW<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Windsor&#8217;s own <strong>Petey Williams<\/strong> made his triumphant return to pro wrestling this year after several years off and the man who launched the Canadian Destroyer move is back with a vengeance. He returns to his home promotion in a cruiserweight showcase, but they were still finalizing all participants. One who is confirmed is another new Impact Wrestling face, <strong>Iris Ibrahim<\/strong>, who has also worked for BCW and Smash Wrestling in the past as well as other Michigan indies.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Impact Tag Team Championship Match: <\/strong>OvE (Dave &amp; Jake Crist) vs. Phil Atlas &amp; Brent Banks<\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_8426\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-8426\" style=\"width: 640px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-8426\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2017\/10\/22289628_10155852192989791_3265811269881833216_o-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-8426\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: BCW<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>OvE<\/strong> &#8211; better known to many as <strong>OI4K<\/strong> or <strong>The Irish Airborne<\/strong> &#8211; are brothers Jake and Dave Crist and the current defending Impact World Tag Team Champions. Being from Ohio, they&#8217;re well known in the Michigan\/Southern Ontario region. They&#8217;re facing off in a champions vs. champions match-up, facing BCW&#8217;s reigning tag team champions consisting of <strong>Phil Atlas<\/strong> and <strong>Brent Banks<\/strong>. Atlas is a BCW veteran, who also spent time with <strong>All-Japan<\/strong> and <strong>Pro-Wrestling NOAH<\/strong>, while his partner <strong>Brent Banks<\/strong> has become a dominant member of <strong>Smash Wrestling<\/strong>, representing Canada in <strong>WCPW<\/strong>&#8216;s <strong>Pro Wrestling World Cup<\/strong> for the Canadian Qualifier (his match vs. <strong>Mike &#8220;Speedball&#8221; Bailey<\/strong> was one of the tournament&#8217;s highlights).<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Mike Bailey vs Brent Banks (Pro Wrestling World Cup Canada - 1st Round)\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/yHWbhKpucJM?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Knockouts Match:\u00a0<\/strong>Rosemary, Sienna and Allie<\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_8425\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-8425\" style=\"width: 640px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-8425\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2017\/10\/20989286_10155728141789791_5631484964938360253_o-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-8425\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: BCW<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The details are not final on this match up, but three of Impact&#8217;s top Knockouts &#8211; including Knockouts Champion <strong>Sienna<\/strong> (aka Allysin Kay in the indies), plus <strong>Rosemary<\/strong> and <strong>Allie<\/strong> &#8211; will be competing this night. Final negotiations are underway with the three involved and the final match-up for these three should be finalized and released later this week. Unfortunately, <strong>Taryn Terrell<\/strong> &#8211; originally advertised to attend &#8211; has had to pull out.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Pete Dunne vs. Aidan Prince<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_8428\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-8428\" style=\"width: 640px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-8428\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2017\/10\/22289994_10155853713874791_7030702134870221804_o-1024x542.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"339\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-8428\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: BCW<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The current WWE UK Champion <strong>Pete Dunne<\/strong> has become an international superstar in the past year, with his work in <strong>PROGRESS<\/strong> and the UK indie scene, plus his stellar work with the WWE United Kingdom division and it&#8217;s showcases in NXT. &#8220;The Bruiserweight&#8221; will be in town to face off against one of Canada&#8217;s emerging high flyers, in Windsor&#8217;s own <strong>Aidan Prince<\/strong>. He&#8217;s been gaining a lot of traction in Southern Ontario and Michigan and just began performing for Smash Wrestling, including a fantastic match against <strong>Space Monkey<\/strong> last month. This is most likely the Match of the Night.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Impact World Championship Match: <\/strong>Eli Drake vs. A1<\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_8427\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-8427\" style=\"width: 640px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-8427\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2017\/10\/22338859_10155852579629791_7197600653594062547_o-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-8427\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: BCW<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Impact World Champion <strong>Eli Drake<\/strong> is making a rare title defence outside of the Impact Zone when he brings his World championship to BCW to square off against a former Impact star in <strong>A1<\/strong> (originally part of TNA&#8217;s <strong>Team Canada<\/strong> alongside Bobby Roode, Johnny Devine, Eric Young and Petey Williams). City is also a regular with Superkick&#8217;d and Destiny, and has made appearances for <strong>House of Hardcore<\/strong> and <strong>House of Glory (HOG)<\/strong>. Kongo Kong will have longtime &#8220;advocate&#8221; Scott D&#8217;Amore in their corner, with Mysterio and Deaner enlisting former WWE Superstar <strong>Santino Marella<\/strong> to watch over in their corner.<\/p>\n<p>For those in attendance, WWE Hall of Famer and 2x WWE Intercontinental Champion <strong>Tito Santana<\/strong> will also be appearing for a meet-and-greet.
