Will \u201c-1\u201d Brodie Lee Jr. become a AEW Dark regular<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Last week on AEW Dark in a genuinely lovely moment, Brodie Lee Jr.<\/strong><\/a> cut the most savage of promos on Marko Stunt<\/strong>. Brodie Lee Jr., who has been given the number of \u201c-1\u201d in the Dark Order, confronted the smallest member of Jurassic Express after a match between Scorpio Sky<\/strong> and newcomer Ariel Levy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Marko Stunt seemed to want to say something before being cut off by the Dark Order\u2019s theme and out came the son of the Exalted One, who went on to verbally attack Marko Stunt, proclaiming he could only win matches with bigger men by his side. “When I’m older, and I fight you, I’m gonna be so much taller,” said \u201c-1\u201d which prompted Marko Stunt to step up to the youngest Dark Order member and push him away, causing Cody Rhodes, Matt Jackson, QT Marshall<\/strong> and even Tony Khan<\/strong> himself to run down to stop the scuffle.<\/p>\n

According to Tony Khan, Brodie Lee Jr. wrote the promo himself, writing on twitter \u201cBrodie wrote that promo himself. I asked him what he wanted to say about Marko, and he said all of that off the top of his head, it was incredible, I told him to please please go out and do that. -1 is really something.\u201d<\/p>\n

When we all heard the news that AEW had signed Jon Huber\u2019s<\/strong> son Brodie Lee Jr. to an AEW contract we assumed that we would have to wait 10 years before we ever saw him again. However, if last week\u2019s Dark is anything to go by maybe \u201c-1\u201d could be a semi-regular fixture on the show, giving the wrestling world some wholesome content every week until the boy is finally ready to become a professional wrestler. Brodie Lee Jr. is clearly a natural in front of the camera and if he takes after his father in any way, he will also be a natural in the ring. Something like this has never happened before, literally watching a wrestler go from boy to man, and AEW Dark could provide a unique window into the rise of Brodie Lee Jr. over the next decade.<\/p>\n

Bear Country May Get Their First Win<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Dark always breaks the mold in debuting wrestlers on the main stage with at least one wrestler and\/or tag team debuting every week. Some of these debuts come across as enhancement talent and then there are some who instantaneously connect with the audience. Bear Country<\/strong> <\/a>was one of those acts which had a connection with the crowd right from the start. They debuted on the 12\/15\/2020 episode of Dark and have never looked back since. They haven\u2019t won a match on Dark yet but maybe this week will be the episode they finally pick up that elusive first big win as they take on Nick Comoroto and Baron Black<\/p>\n

El Australiano & Marti Daniels Debut<\/h2>\n

Speaking of debuting acts, Marti Daniels<\/strong> makes her AEW debut in a match against Tay Conti<\/strong>. The female wrestler started in the business in 2012 and has since been a regular in Ultra Championship Wrestling-Zero<\/em>. Will she be able to follow in Bear Country’s footsteps and form an immediate connection with the audience? We certainly shall see.<\/p>\n

The other debutant is El Australiano who is competing alongside KC Navarro in tag team action.\u00a0 El Australiano may be more recognizable by the moniker Australian Suicide which is the name he has used in AAA\u00a0<\/strong>for many years.\u00a0 The experienced competitor is sure to impress fans as he has spent many years developing his high flying skills in Mexico.<\/p>\n
