Veteran English wrestler Johnny Moss<\/strong> has announced he is taking a job with the WWE Performance Center as a full-time trainer, effectively ending his 19-year wrestling career as an active wrestler to help work with Performance Center raw recruits as well as other talent in NXT, beginning in mid-October.<\/p>\n

In an interview with The News & Star<\/a> out of the UK, Moss said it was a “lifelong dream fulfilled”. \u201cI\u2019ll be allocated a class of men and women of different athletic background and different levels of experience,” Moss said in the interview. “I\u2019ll work with them daily to prepare them for a career in wrestling, teaching them the basics of everything that life in the ring entails.\u201d<\/p>\n

Moss got his start in the late 90’s working with the NWA Hammerlock UK<\/strong> promotion and over the course of his nearly 20-year career has worked for the majority of the top UK indie promotions, including Scotland’s ICW<\/strong> and Scottish Wrestling Alliance (SWA)<\/strong>, plus IPW:UK, All-Star Wrestling (ASW), British Championship Wrestling (BCW),<\/strong>\u00a0and Preston City Wrestling (PCW)<\/strong>, as well as appearances for international promotions like Japan’s Pro Wrestling NOAH<\/strong> and CHIKARA<\/strong> and Impact Wrestling<\/strong> in the US. He also took part in last year’s revival of the legendary UK series World of Sport Wrestling<\/strong>. He was a 6x NWA United Kingdom Heavyweight Champion during his early career.<\/p>\n

When WhatCulture launched WhatCulture Pro Wrestling (WCPW)<\/strong> in 2016, Moss became a huge part of the tag team division, partnered with 22-year old Liam Slater<\/strong>, becoming the inaugural WCPW Tag Team Champions in November of 2016. They held the titles for 74 days before losing to the Swords of Essex<\/strong> (Will Ospreay & Scott Wainwright<\/strong>) earlier this year.<\/p>\n
