With Purrazzo’s partner and security blanket Kimber Lee brutally put out of commission by Yung on IMPACT this past Tuesday, this question coming into the match was whether or not Purrazzo could match the brutality and craziness of Su Yung in what was considered “Su’s Playground”.

However, Purrazzo more than proved herself, becoming even more vicious as the match went on. Purrazzo smashed a painting canvas over the head of the Undead Bride, following up with a Venus De Milo, using a chair as a vice to temporarily knockout the champion. Yung would somehow get back to her feet and fight back, using a mandible claw to trap Purrazzo in the corner. Yung would attempt to strangle Purrazzo with a rope, but she would reverse into her new finisher, a piledriver called the “Cosa Nostra”. Deonna Purrazzo would then pin Su Yung to win the Impact Knockouts Championship for the second time in her career.

Since debuting in IMPACT this past May, Deonna Purrazzo has positioned herself as the most dominant and formidable woman in the Knockouts division. She defeated Jordynne Grace to earn her first Knockouts title at Slammiversary, then followed up with a successful defense of her title in a 30 minute Iron Man match at Emergence in August, becoming the “Iron Woman of Impact”. She was set to defend her title at last months Bound for Glory against Kylie Rae. However, Rae was replaced by Su Yung with short notice for the champion, which gave Purrazzo a viable argument for a rematch. The technical masterpiece now stands as the leader of the Knockouts once again, a division widely regarded as one of the best in the world.

Stay tuned to the Last Word on Pro Wrestling for more on this and other stories from around the world of wrestling, as they develop.
