The Joshi wrestling scene (Japanese Women\u2019s Wrestling) is a deep scene full of insanely talented performers and every month there are dozens of fantastic matches from promotions from Stardom\u00a0<\/strong>to\u00a0Pure-J\u00a0<\/strong>and everywhere in between.<\/p>\n

Important Note\u00a0<\/strong>(Due to some matches not airing as of the time of writing some presumably great Joshi matches can\u2019t be ranked)<\/p>\n

Hiroyo Matsumoto & DASH Chisako vs Yuu & Chihiro Hashimoto, Arisa Nakahima & Tsukasa Fujimoto vs Risa Sera & Itsuki Aoki, Sareee vs Hibiki<\/p>\n

5. Honori Hana & Yoshiko vs Arisa Nakajima & Riko Kaiju<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\"Women's<\/p>\n

This SEAdLINNNG offer match brought the heat to ASSEMBLE as these four women put on a vitriolic tag match.\u00a0 From very early on tensions were high even between rookies Kaiju and Hana.\u00a0 While Kaiju and Hana did their part the highlight of this match was any interaction between Yoshiko and Nakajima who steal the spotlight everytime they wrestle thanks to their stiff exchanges.<\/p>\n

4. Miyuki Takase vs Sareee<\/strong><\/h3>\n

What an aggressive contest this was.\u00a0 With every move you could feel the hatred brewing within each woman.\u00a0 They let this aggression out with some of the most wince-inducing forearm exchanges we have ever seen.\u00a0 Both women left it all in the ring and delivered a fantastic match<\/p>\n

3. Takumi Iroha, Rin Kadokura & Maria vs Mio Momono, Mikoto shindo & Mei Hoshizuki<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\"Women's<\/p>\n

The Marvelous offer match for ASSEMBLE gave us the biggest moment of the show.\u00a0 As a Marvelous fan seeing Mio Momono get the pin over Takumi Iroha was a huge moment.\u00a0 The match built to that moment really well with the very tense flash pinfalls down the stretch between Momono and Iroha.\u00a0 Everyone else got some shine too as Marvelous showcased their house style with a great tag match that finished with a big moment for Mio Momono and all Marvelous fans.<\/p>\n

2. Arisa Nakajima & Tsukasa Fujimoto vs Yoshiko & Hiroyo Matsumoto<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\"Joshi<\/a><\/p>\n

Every time these two teams meet they make magic in the ring together and this match was no different.\u00a0 It was full of all the stiff strikes and high octane tag team action you could want from these teams.\u00a0 The finish also put an end to this feud for the time being which was a big enough moment in itself as this war has waged on between these teams for months.<\/p>\n

1. Takumi Iroha vs Mayu Iwatani<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\"Takumi<\/p>\n

This is not just the best match of October this may very well be the Match Of The Year.\u00a0 They followed up on their classic match in February and improved on it in every way possible.\u00a0 This time around sadist Iwatani got the opportunity to shine with her no-selling some hard strikes from Iroha before laying in with shots of her own, one of which left Iroha with a VERY visible black eye for a few days after the match.\u00a0 This was the closest we’ve been to giving a Joshi match 5-stars since Mio Momono vs Takumi Iroha late last year (which can be seen on Marvelous’ YouTube for free<\/a>) and is a must-watch match for any fan of professional wrestling<\/p>\n
