{"id":77963,"date":"2020-10-25T21:09:47","date_gmt":"2020-10-26T01:09:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/?p=77963"},"modified":"2020-10-25T21:09:47","modified_gmt":"2020-10-26T01:09:47","slug":"the-miz-wins-mitb-briefcase-tucker-turns","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/2020\/10\/25\/the-miz-wins-mitb-briefcase-tucker-turns\/","title":{"rendered":"The Miz Wins MITB Briefcase, Tucker Turns"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In a move some of us saw coming,<strong> The Miz<\/strong> captured the <em><strong>Money in the Bank<\/strong><\/em> briefcase from<strong> Otis<\/strong> at the <em><strong>Hell in a Cell<\/strong><\/em> PPV.\u00a0 To make matters worse for Otis, the finish came as a result of <strong>Heavy Machinery<\/strong> partner, <strong>Tucker<\/strong>, turning on his now former friend.\u00a0 The Miz &#8211; and John Morrison &#8211; will likely move onto bigger and better things and, maybe, a second world championship run for Miz.\u00a0 Meanwhile, Otis will no doubt become embroiled in a feud with Tucker.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">MIZ-TER MONEY IN THE BANK.<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/HIAC?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">#HIAC<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/mikethemiz?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">@mikethemiz<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/OItwDPI3MM\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">pic.twitter.com\/OItwDPI3MM<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; WWE (@WWE) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/WWE\/status\/1320520781747683329?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">October 26, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Briefcases Have Been Lost Before<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Though it is rare for one superstar to lose the MITB briefcase to another, it has happened before.\u00a0 Perhaps most memorably,<strong> Mr Kennedy<\/strong> lost the MITB briefcase to <strong>Edge<\/strong> back in 2007.\u00a0 Much like Miz, Edge was a former winner of the briefcase.\u00a0 The end of Heavy Machinery is perhaps upsetting, but it was the right time.\u00a0 Otis was on fire pre-COVID; becoming one of the most naturally over superstars in the company.\u00a0 Without an audience, he has struggled to maintain momentum and perhaps a rivalry with his former tag team partner will reignited the fire Otis needs to recapture what he had.\u00a0 The Miz, however, will now be looking for his <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/2018\/11\/22\/awesome-the-15-year-journey-of-the-miz-videos\/\" target=\"_self\">first world championship since 2010<\/a>.\u00a0 With <strong>Roman Reigns<\/strong> the top dog on a <strong>SmackDown<\/strong>, maybe Miz will need look to greener pastures on <strong>RAW<\/strong>.\u00a0 Regardless, this has been an interesting change and one may only wonder where it leads.<\/p>\n<p>Stay tuned to\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/lastwordonprowrestling.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Last Word on Pro Wrestling<\/a>\u00a0for more on this and other stories from around the world of wrestling, as they develop.
