{"id":77656,"date":"2020-10-18T15:04:41","date_gmt":"2020-10-18T19:04:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/?p=77656"},"modified":"2020-10-18T15:04:41","modified_gmt":"2020-10-18T19:04:41","slug":"wwe-monday-night-raw-10-19","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/2020\/10\/18\/wwe-monday-night-raw-10-19\/","title":{"rendered":"Preview: WWE \u2013 Monday Night RAW (10\/19\/2020)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Monday Night RAW<\/strong> returns to our screens once again &#8211; this time with the &#8220;Season Premiere&#8221;.\u00a0 As the (rather hectic) year draws to a close, RAW is looking to see it out strong.\u00a0 With <strong>SmackDown<\/strong> currently going through something of a white hot run of form, RAW will certainly be looking to match them.\u00a0 There has been some semblance of improvement in the <strong>WWE<\/strong> product as a whole lately.\u00a0 Hopefully the draft doesn&#8217;t damage either brand&#8217;s momentum and they can keep it up.\u00a0 So, what does RAW have in-store this week? Let&#8217;s find out!<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Firefly Funhouse Debuts on RAW<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-77658\" src=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2020\/10\/Firefly-Funhouse.jpg\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2020\/10\/Firefly-Funhouse.jpg 600w, https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2020\/10\/Firefly-Funhouse-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Yes, there have probably been times when the Firefly Funhouse has made RAW appearances.\u00a0 However, given that both <strong>Bray Wyatt<\/strong> and<strong> Alexa Bliss<\/strong> were drafted to the red brand just last week, this would be the official debut of the demented, almost satirical Blues Clues parody on RAW.\u00a0 Honestly, with <strong>Roman Reigns<\/strong> now the big dog (pun intended) on SmackDown, this move was timely.\u00a0 Bray was beginning to get lost in the shuffle.\u00a0 This would have been a shame, given the Alexa storyline is particularly interesting.\u00a0 What does WWE&#8217;s attempt at Joker and Harley Quinn have in-store for RAW? Tune in to find out.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Elias Back in Concert<a href=\"https:\/\/imgur.com\/M3R1ZNH\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"source: imgur.com\" src=\"https:\/\/i.imgur.com\/M3R1ZNH.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/a><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Remember <strong>Elias<\/strong>? Well, he returned last week.\u00a0 Having been out of action since the<em> polarizing<\/em> <strong>Jeff Hardy<\/strong>\/<strong>Sheamus<\/strong>\/Elias angle which saw Elias hit by a car, the man known as &#8220;the Drifter&#8221; is officially back in action.\u00a0 He will be doing what he does best, which is to perform a concert in front of a packed, raucous crowd.\u00a0 Oh, wait.\u00a0 Well, he will be performing for <em>someone<\/em>.\u00a0 Elias is a great character and an even better heel.\u00a0 Hopefully, he can find a consistent run of form and finally catch some gold.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>WWE RAW Women&#8217;s Championship: Lana vs Asuka (c)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/imgur.com\/iu3xY7W\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"source: imgur.com\" src=\"https:\/\/i.imgur.com\/iu3xY7W.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In a match which is being treated as a glorified squash, <strong>Lana<\/strong> gets maybe her best chance yet at capturing a championship.\u00a0 The odds are seriously stacked against the Ravishing Russian, however.\u00a0 Standing in her way is the current WWE RAW Women&#8217;s Champion, <strong>Asuka<\/strong>.\u00a0 Asuka is, of course, one of the WWE&#8217;s most decorated female performers in its lengthy history.\u00a0 Therefore, Lana&#8217;s chances of beating Asuka by pinfall or submission are virtually non-existent.\u00a0 However, given how we the audience are all being told how bad of a mismatch this is, it does make you wonder if it&#8217;s possible.\u00a0 Surely not? Find out this Monday on RAW.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Keith Lee vs Braun Strowman<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"337\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-77657\" src=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2020\/10\/Keith-Lee-vs-Braun-Strowman.jpg\" alt=\"RAW\" srcset=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2020\/10\/Keith-Lee-vs-Braun-Strowman.jpg 600w, https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2020\/10\/Keith-Lee-vs-Braun-Strowman-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Talk about a battle between the underutilized.\u00a0 Just a few short months ago, Keith Lee was on top of the world.\u00a0 The Limitless One had finally usurped Adam Cole to become NXT Champion, whilst also being NXT North American Champion.\u00a0 He was perhaps one of RAW&#8217;s stars most in need of a draft to SmackDown, simply because of how poorly he has been handled on RAW.\u00a0 Braun was WWE Universal Champion for a large part of this year.\u00a0 Yet, you wouldn&#8217;t think it, given he has been limited to RAW Underground cameos in recent times.\u00a0 What makes this worse is that neither man can afford to lose.\u00a0 Both are in desperate need of rehabilitation on the main roster.\u00a0 Lee more so, given he perhaps has the more significant potential and ability of the two.\u00a0 Hopefully both men have a solid match.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Not Announced But Expected<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>&#8211; <strong>The Hurt Business<\/strong> want revenge on <strong>Ricochet<\/strong> for his Latino Heat-like antics<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <strong>Alexa Bliss<\/strong> is a RAW acquisition.\u00a0 What will be her first move?<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <strong>Drew McIntyre<\/strong> and <strong>Randy Orton<\/strong> to continue their feud<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <strong>Kofi Kingston<\/strong> and<strong> Xavier Woods<\/strong> to appear without <strong>Big E<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Stay tuned to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/\" target=\"_self\">Last Word on Pro Wrestling<\/a>\u00a0for more on this and other stories from around the world of wrestling, as they develop.
