{"id":76079,"date":"2020-10-16T15:37:49","date_gmt":"2020-10-16T19:37:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/?p=76079"},"modified":"2020-10-16T15:37:49","modified_gmt":"2020-10-16T19:37:49","slug":"g1-climax-30-day-18","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/2020\/10\/16\/g1-climax-30-day-18\/","title":{"rendered":"Preview: NJPW &#8211; G1 Climax 30 Day 18 B Block (10\/17\/20)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>G1 Day 18 is the final day of B Block action and will see a block winner crowned.\u00a0 In the main event we have the clutch meeting between\u00a0<strong>SANADA\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>EVIL\u00a0<\/strong>as both are in with the chance to win the block,\u00a0<strong>Tetsuya Naito<\/strong> meanwhile has a rematch with <strong>KENTA\u00a0<\/strong>that he must win.\u00a0 Let&#8217;s get into the preview for G1 Day 18, the final day of B Block action.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Toru Yano (6) vs YOSHI-HASHI (2)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Both men are mathematically eliminated from the G1 Climax but they will both want to pick up a win here.\u00a0 Yano started the tournament like a house on fire with three straight wins before hitting the wall, HASHI meanwhile wants more than a meager two points.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Hirooki Goto (8) vs Juice Robinson (6)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Another match that&#8217;s all about improving ones own point total.\u00a0 This should be fun as both display a lot of fighting spirit every time they enter the ring.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Hiroshi Tanahashi (6) vs Zack Sabre Jr (10)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>These two spent the summer feuding in a tag team setting and now meet in singles action.\u00a0 Despite having 10 points ZSJ is eliminated from the tournament but would like to end it on a high.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Tetsuya Naito (12) vs KENTA (8)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Earlier this year KENTA ruined Naito&#8217;s moment when he attacked Naito following his title win at Wrestle Kingdom.\u00a0 While Naito beat KENTA the next month he will still hold on to that memory.\u00a0 Naito has extra motivation to win as only a win would keep him alive in the tournament.\u00a0 KENTA will want to win and put himself in line for a title shot and we think he could pull out that win here.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>SANADA (10) vs EVIL (12)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The main event and the match that will decide the block winner. If SANADA wins and Naito loses then SANADA will win the block.\u00a0 EVIL controls his own destiny as a win in this match wins him the block.\u00a0 Beyond the G1 implications, this is a big match as EVIL and SANADA are former tag team champions.\u00a0 When EVIL turned on LIJ\u00a0<strong>Hiromu Takahashi\u00a0<\/strong>and Naito got shots at revenge but SANADA didn&#8217;t.\u00a0 Now SANADA has the opportunity to ruin EVIL&#8217;s G1.<\/p>\n<p><em>Stay tuned to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/\" target=\"_self\">Last Word on Pro Wrestling<\/a>\u00a0for more on this and other stories from around the world of wrestling, as they develop.
