G1 Day 16 is one of the last days of B Block action.\u00a0 We are at crunch time in the block with\u00a0Hiroshi Tanahashi\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0SANADA\u00a0<\/strong>in the main event and\u00a0EVIL\u00a0<\/strong>in the semi-main event as he looks to stay in block contention.\u00a0 At this stage, it is all to play for so let’s get into this preview of G1 Day 16.<\/p>\n

YOSHI-HASHI (2) vs KENTA (6)<\/strong><\/h3>\n

A first time ever singles match between YOSHI-HASHI and KENTA.\u00a0 HASHI has surprised many people with his performances in this G1 so far and he is due some wins for his performances.\u00a0 KENTA won’t want to give him any though as he’s one of the people in need of points to stay in contention to win the block.<\/p>\n

Juice Robinson (6) vs Zack Sabre Jr. (8)<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Juice Robinson has never been able to defeat Sabre in singles competition.\u00a0 The last two match between these two competitors was in 2018 though and both have come along as competitors in this time.\u00a0 If Sabre loses he could be eliminated depending on the result of Naito’s match<\/p>\n

Toru Yano (6) vs Tetsuya Naito (10)<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Naito gets his much needed “night off” as he has wrestled a grueling tournament so far.\u00a0 Naito is beaten and wear which will give Yano all the chances he needs to impose his will on Naito and pull out the win using his bag of tricks.<\/p>\n

Hirooki Goto (8) vs EVIL (10)<\/strong><\/h3>\n

This is a big match for EVIL as we near the climax of this G1.\u00a0 EVIL and Goto have wrestled in the past with EVIL coming away with the win in their most recent encounter which came in round two of the New Japan Cup earlier this year.\u00a0 Goto must win to remain in contention so he will give it his all.\u00a0 EVIL could actually win the block with a win here but he would need a miracle from the other results of the night.<\/p>\n

Hiroshi Tanahashi (6) vs SANADA (8)<\/strong><\/h3>\n

This is a must-win contest for both men.\u00a0 Depending on results earlier in the show Tanahashi may be eliminated when this match goes down but it is still an important one for SANADA who would be all but eliminated with a loss.\u00a0 We think SANADA wins to get the bragging rights of eliminating Tanahashi and to keep himself in contention to win the block.<\/p>\n
