{"id":76061,"date":"2020-09-27T11:26:52","date_gmt":"2020-09-27T15:26:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/?p=76061"},"modified":"2020-09-27T11:26:52","modified_gmt":"2020-09-27T15:26:52","slug":"g1-climax-30-day-6","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/2020\/09\/27\/g1-climax-30-day-6\/","title":{"rendered":"Preview: NJPW &#8211; G1 Climax 30 Day 6 B Block (9\/29\/20)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>G1 Climax Day 6 offers up some more B block action with\u00a0<strong>Tetsuya Naito\u00a0<\/strong>getting his third straight main event, this time against <strong>Hirooki Goto<\/strong>.\u00a0 <strong>EVIL\u00a0<\/strong>is once again in the semi-main event as he takes on <strong>Toru Yano<\/strong> while\u00a0<strong>KENTA\u00a0<\/strong>vs\u00a0<strong>Zack Sabre Jr.\u00a0<\/strong>stands out on the undercard.\u00a0 Let&#8217;s get into this preview of the card for G1 Day 6.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>YOSHI-HASHI (0) vs SANADA (0)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>One would expect SANADA to come away with the win here over YOSHI-HASHI although HASHI will give things his all.\u00a0 SANADA does need to rack up points and beating YOSHI-HASHI is a sensible way of getting him there.\u00a0 SANADA is especially desperate to win here since he has surprisingly gone 0-2 to start the tournament<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Zack Sabre Jr. (2) vs KENTA (2)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>These two men fought in the G1 last year with ZSJ coming away with the win.\u00a0 Since then though KENTA has changed a lot and become one of the most daunting opponents in NJPW.\u00a0 Expect KENTA to get his win back here over Sabre.\u00a0 Both men go in level on points and coming off of losses so it is essential that they get back on track for a win<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Hiroshi Tanahashi (0) vs Juice Robinson (4)<a href=\"https:\/\/imgur.com\/HRPVyRT\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"source: imgur.com\" src=\"https:\/\/i.imgur.com\/HRPVyRT.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/a><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>These two men have only fought once and that was back in 2018.\u00a0 Tanahashi came away from that one with the win, in the semi-finals of the New Japan Cup, but since then both competitors have changed a lot.\u00a0 Robinson has won multiple championships and become a rising star in the company while Tanahashi&#8217;s years of dominance have caught up with him and he is physically not where he used to be.\u00a0 We expect Robinson to win here and get a big win to remind everyone of how good he is.\u00a0 But, Tanahashi rather surprisingly has no points yet and he will be looking to get his tally off the ground.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Toru Yano (4) vs EVIL (2)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Call us crazy, but this could be a Yano win.\u00a0 Yano can beat absolutely anybody and EVIL needs to inevitably drop points so this seems like a perfect opportunity to have him lose without damaging his new character.\u00a0 EVIL has time to pick up wins and the story of Yano getting off to a 3-0 starts is just too good not to tell<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Hirooki Goto (2) vs Tetsuya Naito (4)<a href=\"https:\/\/imgur.com\/qhBjlZK\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"source: imgur.com\" src=\"https:\/\/i.imgur.com\/qhBjlZK.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/a><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>These two men have been in NJPW for a long time and thus have wrestled one another many times.\u00a0 Despite that, you have to go back to 2014 to find the last time Goto beat Naito in a singles match in any kind of tournament.\u00a0 We foresee this changing this year though.\u00a0 Goto would be a good challenger for Naito&#8217;s titles to fill up his autumn as he heads to Wrestle Kingdom<\/p>\n<p><em>Stay tuned to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/\" target=\"_self\">Last Word on Pro Wrestling<\/a>\u00a0for more on this and other stories from around the world of wrestling, as they develop.
