Rey Mysterio has long been one of the most beloved figures in the WWE.\u00a0 The ultimate underdog has wowed fans on American TV for over two decades and has become one of the most famous luchadores in the United States.\u00a0 It’s not just in the English speaking world where Mysterio has found fame though.\u00a0 In Mexico his prominence on TV in America and ability to succeed outside of the world of Lucha Libre has made him incredibly popular.\u00a0 Because of this, it has now been announced that Rey Mysterio will have a cartoon series made about his character on Cartoon Network Latin America.<\/p>\n
The show will tell the story of the iconic Mysterio but will also have a supernatural aspect.\u00a0 The show was announced during Cartoon Network Day at the pixelatl festival.\u00a0 The announcement was made by Jaime Ri\u00f3n\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>who is the director of content for Mexicoand Colombia.\u00a0 During the announcement he stated :<\/span><\/p>\n “We are very excited to finally be able to announce this project and eager to\u00a0<\/span>share the result with our fans<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0and wrestling fans.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWorking with Rey Mysterio and \u00a1Viva Calavera!\u00a0It has been a pleasure and we are sure that we have an incredible story to tell.\u00a0There are many elements to highlight:\u00a0<\/span>Mexico as a central element when creating this project<\/span><\/strong>, the level of action, the characters, and the risks we have taken to make this story resonate and connect with many fans around the world.
