The second biggest show of the WWE year is almost here as SummerSlam<\/strong><\/em> will be live this Sunday. And unlike WrestleMania<\/em><\/strong>, it will have fans. Of course, not in-person but in a virtual presence as WWE introduces the WWE ThunderDome<\/a> this Sunday night. Will the card live up to the hype of a SummerSlam<\/em>-esque show, however? Here’s the preview.<\/p>\n

Loser Leaves WWE No DQ Match: Mandy Rose vs. Sonya Deville<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Mandy Rose<\/strong> and Sonya Deville<\/strong> have had one of the more consistent feuds in all of WWE as it began right at WrestleMania<\/em><\/strong> and now seems to be culminating here at SummerSlam<\/em>. A match that we once expected to be a hair vs. hair match has dramatically changed. The bout will see a No Disqualification match between the two former friends with the loser being forced to leave the WWE. A weird curveball to throw in so last minute, but an interesting story to tell either way. Someone loses their job on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Raw Tag Team Championships: The Street Profits (c) vs. Andrade & Angel Garza<\/strong><\/h3>\n

A feud that has included poisoning and Bianca Belair<\/strong> getting involved will finally come to a huge moment with The Street Profits<\/strong> and Zelina Vega<\/strong>‘s team finally coming to blows. While the feud itself has been suspect at best the past number of weeks, what is true is that these two teams could very well steal the show. When it comes to the result, anything can happen considering how long the Profits’ run has been and the likelihood that Angel Garza<\/strong>‘s star will only continue to rise. Be excited for this one.<\/p>\n

United States Championship: Apollo Crews (c) vs. MVP<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\"Crews<\/p>\n

The Hurt Business<\/strong> has made it abundantly clear that Apollo Crews<\/strong> and his United States Championship will be the target until the title is in the possession of MVP<\/strong>. On Monday night, Apollo defeated Shelton Benjamin<\/strong> to disallow both Benjamin and Bobby Lashley<\/strong> from ringside on Sunday. That gives Crews a great shot to retain, but the constant tease of Cedric Alexander<\/strong> joining The Hurt Business will be something to keep an eye out for and could work in MVP’s favor.<\/p>\n

Street Fight: Seth Rollins vs. Dominik Mysterio<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\"Dominik<\/p>\n

There may not be a more captivating match of rivalry going in all the WWE than Seth Rollins<\/strong> vs. the Mysterio’s. And this Sunday will see the official in-ring debut of Dominik Mysterio<\/strong> as he faces “The Monday Night Messiah” in a Street Fight. Not only is the match going to be a must-see event but it will more than likely be the ending to this long-burning feud. As the son of Rey Mysterio<\/strong>, all eyes will be on Dominik and what he can do in there with one of the flagship performers of the WWE. The anticipation is real to see if he can steal a win.<\/p>\n

SmackDown Women’s Championship: Bayley (c) vs. Asuka<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Raw Women’s Championship: Sasha Banks (c) vs. Asuka<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\"Sasha<\/p>\n

A story that goes into one preview. Asuka has earned the opportunity to face both Sasha Banks<\/strong> and Bayley<\/strong> in separate matches for their singles championships. It’s been a long time coming for Asuka<\/strong>, who has been bothered and attacked by The Golden Role Models<\/strong> for weeks now. Now, she has a chance to take the only thing that matters to them and that is their championships. Bayley lost a Beat The Clock Challenge to her partner Sasha Banks, forcing her to go first. One would expect that gives Banks the best chance to walk out the winner. Time will tell if that’s the case. Cracks are beginning to show between the tag team champs. It’s officially Asuka’s most important night of her WWE career.<\/p>\n

Universal Championship: Braun Strowman (c) vs. “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\"Strowman<\/p>\n

Braun Strowman<\/strong> will defend his Universal Championship against former champion, “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt<\/strong>. A feud that has been going on for months now has reached the ultimate boiling point with being presented as “The Monster” vs. “The Fiend.” We have already seen Strowman change in ways, something that has happened anytime a wrestler has fought “The Fiend.” With this being the match to finally rid himself of his past and keep his title, one may think that Strowman won’t have enough.<\/p>\n

It’s also a now or never situation for Bray Wyatt, whose career depends on this match. Too many false promises can lead to epic failure. Let us not forget the Alexa Bliss<\/strong> aspect of this entire encounter, as she has been involved and could be during the match on Sunday. Lots of moving parts to follow at SummerSlam<\/em>.<\/p>\n

WWE Championship: Drew McIntyre (c) vs. Randy Orton<\/strong><\/h3>\n

There’s only one match with the stature to main event SummerSlam<\/em> and it is Drew McIntyre<\/strong> vs. Randy Orton<\/strong> for the WWE Championship. McIntyre has been a dominant and fantastic WWE Champion since winning it at WrestleMania<\/em>, but his biggest challenge will come on Sunday against the most focused Orton we have ever seen. “The Legend Killer” has taken out Edge<\/strong>, Christian<\/strong>, Big Show<\/strong>, Ric Flair<\/strong>, and Shawn Michaels<\/strong> to this point and will not stop until he is the WWE Champion once again. A title that he has not held since 2017, it could be the end of McIntyre’s dominance and the beginning of “The Viper’s” stay on top.<\/p>\n
