We already knew that it would feature sixteen women paired up in teams of eight, with the winning team receiving the Women&#8217;s Tag Team Cup Trophy. The pairings are drawn at random, similar to the old NWA\/WCW Lethal Lottery (<a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprowrestling.com\/2020\/07\/23\/aew-womens-tag-team-cup-who-will-fill-the-slots\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">as we speculated last week<\/a>), through matching color draws. Selections will be final with no appeals.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_73587\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-73587\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-73587\" src=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprowrestling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2020\/07\/115867315_214493856554870_1868634228472865545_n-e1596074783466.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"341\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-73587\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: AEW<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>So far the first team announced was the pairing of <strong>Nyla Rose <\/strong>and <b>Ariane Andrew, <\/b>also previously known as <strong>Cameron<\/strong> from WWE. Released by WWE in 2016, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=E3UoNGC5M-0\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">she announced her return to wrestling in May of 2019<\/a> and spent much of the year in training for a return. She was announced for her first indie date this past WrestleMania Week as part of the <strong>Game Changer Wrestling (GCW)<\/strong> <em><strong>Collective<\/strong><\/em> series, where <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/EFFYlives\/status\/1212904024804069378\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">she was slated to compete at <em><strong>EFFY&#8217;s Big Gay Lunch<\/strong><\/em><\/a>. Her comeback was postponed, however, as the COVID shutdown canceled the indie events over WrestleMania Week. Her original plan was to work her way through the indies to build herself back up.
