She&#8217;s one of NXT&#8217;s greatest ever Women&#8217;s Champions.\u00a0 Of course, Ripley has repeatedly declined.\u00a0 Now, however, she takes on Stone and Aliyah in a handicap match, with the added stipulation being that &#8211; if she loses the match &#8211; she must join the brand.\u00a0 It&#8217;s an interesting direction for Ripley, but one must think she&#8217;s bigger than this.\u00a0 However, it is certainly an interesting storyline which certainly won&#8217;t come to an end at <em>NXT: Great American Bash<\/em>.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Strap Match: Dexter Lumis vs. Roderick Strong<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_71641\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-71641\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-71641\" src=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprowrestling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2020\/06\/20200625_NXT_TGAB_LumisStrong_FC-34f570171143a53e99deb79d6f378f57-e1593488202685.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-71641\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: WWE<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>At <em>NXT TakeOver: In Your House<\/em>, <strong>Dexter Lumis<\/strong> kidnapped both <strong>Roderick Strong<\/strong> and <strong>Bobby Fish<\/strong>.\u00a0 He then went onto lose a match for <strong>Adam Cole<\/strong>&#8216;s NXT Championship, but has remained a threat to the <strong>Undisputed Era<\/strong> ever since.\u00a0 Here he gets the opportunity to defeat Strong in a one-on-one match.\u00a0 Surely we can expect some outside interference? Regardless, Lumis is one of the best and most interesting characters in NXT right now and he should pick up the win here.\u00a0 Oh, it&#8217;s also a Strap Match.\u00a0 Good luck, Bobby.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Timothy Thatcher Returns at Great American Bash to Take On Oney Lorcan<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_71520\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-71520\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-71520\" src=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprowrestling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2020\/06\/20200625_NXT_TGAB_LorcanThatcher_FC-9fbe8fb2bebc4a6ba3bf652b5519e58c-e1593448394222.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-71520\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: WWE<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>A few months back, <strong>Timothy Thatcher<\/strong> &#8211; standing in for <strong>Pete Dunne<\/strong> &#8211; turned on <strong>Matt Riddle<\/strong>, costing the &#8220;Original Bro&#8221; (and Dunne) the NXT Tag Team Championships.\u00a0 Thatcher then went on to defeat Riddle in one of the most memorable, most brutal matches in NXT history: the &#8220;Cage Fight&#8221;.\u00a0 This is Thatcher&#8217;s first match since that crucial victory, which helped elevate him and remind viewers that he is a legitimate star.\u00a0 <strong>Oney Lorcan<\/strong> is an impressive talent himself, known for being a hard hitter and one of the best on <strong>205 Live<\/strong>.\u00a0 This could potentially be a dark horse contender for match of the night, so make sure not to miss it.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Elimination #1 Contenders Match: Dakota Kai vs Mia Yim vs Tegan Nox vs Candice LeRae<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_71522\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-71522\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-71522\" src=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprowrestling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2020\/06\/EboKQTrX0AUb9tK-e1593448453933.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-71522\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: WWE<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>This fatal four way women&#8217;s match sees <strong>Mia Yim<\/strong>, <strong>Tegan Nox<\/strong>, <strong>Candice LeRae<\/strong> and <strong>Dakota Kai<\/strong> meet in a fatal four way match to determine the number one contender for the NXT Women&#8217;s Championship.\u00a0 All four women will be desperate for the opportunity as none of them have won gold in NXT&#8230; so far.\u00a0 Candice might be the favorite for the win, given the recent heel turn and push (as well as <strong>Johnny Gargano<\/strong>&#8216;s newfound talent for interfering in her matches).\u00a0 Then again,<strong> Keith Lee<\/strong> could just as easily prevent Gargano from interfering, which helps Yim&#8217;s chances.\u00a0 Tegan Nox and Dakota Kai have been embroiled in a blood feud for almost a year now.\u00a0 Will their hatred for each other get in the way of their chance to seize the win? Regardless, this is another contender for match of the night and is one not to be missed.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Great American Bash Main Event: Io Shirai (c) vs. Sasha Banks (w\/ Bayley)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_71687\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-71687\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-71687 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprowrestling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2020\/06\/Io-Shirai-vs-Sasha-Banks-Better.jpg\" alt=\"Io Shirai vs Sasha Banks at Great American Bash\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" srcset=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2020\/06\/Io-Shirai-vs-Sasha-Banks-Better.jpg 600w, https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2020\/06\/Io-Shirai-vs-Sasha-Banks-Better-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-71687\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: @WWEonFOX<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The main event of the evening sees NXT Women&#8217;s Champion, <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprowrestling.com\/2020\/06\/30\/io-shirai-vs-sasha-banks\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Io Shirai<\/strong>, take on NXT&#8217;s arguable biggest star of all time,<strong> Sasha Banks<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0 Whether you love her or hate her, Sasha Banks did a <em>tremendous<\/em> job of elevating NXT&#8217;s women&#8217;s division all those years ago.\u00a0 Having match of the year caliber matches against the likes of<strong> Becky Lynch<\/strong> and <strong>Bayley<\/strong>, to name just two, certainly laid the foundations for NXT&#8217;s women&#8217;s division to become the best in the world.\u00a0 Now she has the chance to remind NXT viewers just how good she is.\u00a0 Unfortunately for Sasha, she&#8217;s going against the best women&#8217;s wrestler in the game today &#8211; certainly the best within NXT.\u00a0 Can Sasha reclaim the championship she lost to tag team partner, Bayley back at 2015&#8217;s <em><strong>NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn<\/strong><\/em>?
