According to <a href=\"https:\/\/en.superluchas.com\/adios-a-dragon-chino-ii-embajador-de-la-lucha\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>SuperLuchas.com<\/strong><\/a>, his passing is related to complications from COVID-19. He was 55 years old.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Received word that Alejandro Gomex Barrientox, better known to the Lucha Libre world as Dragon Chino II, passed away on 6\/2. I personally saw him wrestle many times on TV for the UWA promotion in the early 90\u2019s (he debuted in 1979). Originally competing as <strong>Mago Minox, <\/strong>it would be as part of the martial arts-inspired tag team <strong>Los Dragones Chinos<\/strong> in Mexico&#8217;s <strong>Universal Wrestling Association (UWA)<\/strong> that he would find his greatest success, where he competed as Dragon Chino II. Together the duo would also work in Japan, working for <strong>Gran Hamada<\/strong>&#8216;s <strong>Federacion Universal De Lucha Libre (FULL)<\/strong> in the early 1990s. In 1985, the duo won the <strong>Azteca World Wrestling Association (AWWA)<\/strong> Tag Team Championships. Though mostly inactive in recent years, he still made appearances as an ambassador for lucha libre throughout Mexico.
