Friday Night SmackDown<\/strong> returns to our screens once more.\u00a0 All that we have advertised for the show so far is the continuation of the Intercontinental Championship tournament.\u00a0 With WWE NXT<\/strong> and AEW<\/strong> both exceeding expectations in the ratings this week, SmackDown will be looking for a strong showing.\u00a0 With all that being said, let’s dive right in.<\/p>\n

Intercontinental Championship Tournament Continues<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\"Friday<\/p>\n

As mentioned, the two matches we have announced both come within the Intercontinental Tournament.\u00a0 It is semi-finals week and only Daniel Bryan<\/strong>, Jeff Hardy<\/strong>, Elias<\/strong> and AJ Styles<\/strong> remain.\u00a0 The first match sees Bryan take on Hardy.\u00a0 These two have wrestled each other twice in the past – with them having one win apiece.\u00a0 With this being a semi-final bout in the tournament, however, the stakes have never been higher.\u00a0 AJ Styles meets Elias, with these two never meeting in a one-on-one situation.\u00a0 The only time these two have met in the ring was at Royal Rumble 2020<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0 Therefore, it is hard to predict who wins here.\u00a0 With Elias having troubles with King Corbin<\/strong>, however, we might expect some interference.\u00a0 Even so, Styles is a 20 year veteran in the game and is returning to the brand where he had his biggest WWE successes<\/a>.\u00a0 One of the all-time greats.\u00a0 He has enough experience and ability to see off Elias.\u00a0 Could we be heading for a mouth-watering AJ Styles vs Daniel Bryan final? You will have to tune in to find out.<\/p>\n

What else to expect:<\/strong><\/p>\n

– The continuation of the Braun Strowman<\/strong>\/Miz<\/strong> and John Morrison<\/strong> feud<\/p>\n

– What next for Otis<\/strong> and Mandy Rose<\/strong> in their feud against Dolph Ziggler<\/strong> and Sonya Deville<\/strong>?<\/p>\n

– Charlotte Flair<\/strong> has been appearing on all brands.\u00a0 Will she do so again here?<\/p>\n
