Take a look for yourself.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Buy In: Best Friends (Chuck Taylor &amp; Trent) vs Private Party (Marq Quen &amp; Isaiah Kassidy)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-68506\" src=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprowrestling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2020\/05\/Private-Party-vs-Best-Friends.jpg\" alt=\"Double Or Nothing\" width=\"600\" height=\"337\" srcset=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2020\/05\/Private-Party-vs-Best-Friends.jpg 600w, https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2020\/05\/Private-Party-vs-Best-Friends-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Private Party<\/strong> (<strong>Marq Quen<\/strong> and<strong> Isaiah Kassidy<\/strong>) come into this match after a two-match win streak.\u00a0 Having mostly featured on <strong>AEW Dark<\/strong> in recent months, they have mostly kept away from the <strong>AEW Dynamite<\/strong> spotlight.\u00a0 However, this is a real opportunity for these two men to establish themselves and cement a claim to the AEW Tag Team Championships in the process.\u00a0 In contrast, <strong>Best Friends<\/strong> (<strong>Chuck Taylor<\/strong> and <strong>Trent<\/strong>) have featured most weeks on AEW Dynamite.\u00a0 The last time Best Friends went two versus two against Private Party in an AEW ring, it was a victory for the Best Friends (11\/13\/2019).\u00a0 Can Chuck Taylor and Trent pull off a victory once again? They have had impressive wins lately, most notably over<strong> Kenny Omega<\/strong> and <strong>Michael Nakazawa<\/strong>.\u00a0 Maybe it is time for Best Friends to defeat Omega and <strong>Adam Page<\/strong>, too.\u00a0 This should be a fun tag team match.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Casino Ladder Match: Orange Cassidy vs Scorpio Sky vs Frankie Kazarian vs Kip Sabian vs Joey Janela vs Darby Allin vs Colt Cabana vs Luchasaurus vs <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprowrestling.com\/2020\/05\/18\/double-or-nothing-mystery-entrant\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mystery Entrant<\/a><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-69017\" src=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprowrestling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2020\/05\/Casion-Ladder-Match-e1590069182372.jpg\" alt=\"Double Or Nothing\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Credit must be given to AEW for their willingness to create new and exciting matches.\u00a0 The Casino Ladder Match certainly fits the bill of both new and exciting.\u00a0 Two competitors start the match; a poker chip hangs above the ring and every 90 seconds, a new competitor joins the match.\u00a0 Of course, the winner is the first person to grab the chip.\u00a0 To make things <em>extra<\/em> exciting, there is a mystery opponent.\u00a0 Who could it be: A new face? Or an AEW regular who has been kept away during the COVID-19 crisis? We don&#8217;t know.\u00a0 However, this ninth person will have a mountain (or ladder) to climb.\u00a0 The &#8220;Freshly Squeezed&#8221;, <strong>Orange Cassidy<\/strong>; the veteran,<strong> Frankie Kazarian<\/strong>; the ever-talented, <strong>Scorpio Sky<\/strong>; &#8220;Superbad&#8221;, <strong>Kip Sabian<\/strong>; &#8220;Bad Boy&#8221;, <strong>Joey Janela<\/strong>; the future,<strong> Darby Allin<\/strong>; &#8220;Boom Boom&#8221;, <strong>Colt Cabana<\/strong> and the &#8220;Dinormous&#8221;, <strong>Luchasaurus<\/strong>.\u00a0 There is some serious talent in this match and therefore the mystery opponent might just want to enter the match early.\u00a0 Potential match of the night here.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Penelope Ford vs Kris Statlander<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_69122\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-69122\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-69122\" src=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprowrestling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2020\/05\/Ford-vs-Statlander.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" srcset=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2020\/05\/Ford-vs-Statlander.jpg 600w, https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2020\/05\/Ford-vs-Statlander-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-69122\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: AEW<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Dr. Britt Baker DMD<\/strong> was scheduled to face <strong>Kris Statlander<\/strong> at <em>Double or Nothing 2020<\/em>.\u00a0 However, a serious injury to her right knee means AEW&#8217;s resident dentist is out of action for 6-9 months.\u00a0 It is especially frustrating for Britt as she has been one of the most improved performers in the company over the past year.\u00a0 We wish her well.\u00a0 Stepping up to replace her is Penelope Ford; who has mostly been managing Kip Sabian from ringside.\u00a0 This is a real opportunity for Ford to establish herself as a prominent in-ring threat against Statlander.\u00a0 It should be interesting to see who wins here.\u00a0 Though they have squared off in multi-women matches on two occasions (with <strong>Hikaru Shida<\/strong> winning on both occasions), they have never wrestled one-versus-one.\u00a0 Who wins? Find out at <em>Double or Nothing 2020<\/em>.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Shawn Spears vs Dustin Rhodes<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-69015\" src=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprowrestling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2020\/05\/Dustin-Rhodes-vs-Shawn-Spears-e1590069048368.jpg\" alt=\"Double Or Nothing\" width=\"600\" height=\"337\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Last year, at the inaugural <em>Double or Nothing<\/em> event, <strong>Dustin Rhodes<\/strong> and<strong> Cody<\/strong> tore the house down.\u00a0 It was, in our opinion, <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprowrestling.com\/2020\/05\/17\/cody-vs-dustin-aews\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">the match of the night<\/a>.\u00a0 Only three weeks removed from an absolute beat down at the hands of the &#8220;Murder Hawk&#8221;, <strong>Lance Archer<\/strong>, we don&#8217;t know what state Dustin is in going into this match.\u00a0 However, we do know that a furious &#8220;Chairman&#8221; in <strong>Shawn Spears<\/strong> demanded a match at <em>Double or Nothing 2020<\/em>.\u00a0 Ask and you shall receive, as his challenge to Dustin was accepted and we now have this match.\u00a0 Will Dustin&#8217;s injuries sustained a few weeks ago slow him down? Or will &#8220;The Chairman&#8221; be terminated? Tune in to find out.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>MJF vs Jungle Boy<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-68742\" src=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprowrestling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2020\/05\/MJF-vs-Jungle-Boy.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"335\" srcset=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2020\/05\/MJF-vs-Jungle-Boy.jpg 600w, https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2020\/05\/MJF-vs-Jungle-Boy-300x168.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Maxwell Jacob Friedman<\/strong> made his eagerly-anticipated return to the ring a couple of weeks ago.\u00a0 He has reversed the effects of a potentially career-ending injury.\u00a0 A hangnail is no laughing matter, people.\u00a0 It has been an inspiring road to recovery.\u00a0 Standing in the way of the perfect redemption story is <strong>Jungle Boy<\/strong>, who was recently announced as MJF&#8217;s <em>Double or Nothing<\/em> opponent.\u00a0 These two are two of the finest young talents in pro-wrestling today.\u00a0 Jungle Boy is the pure white-meat babyface.\u00a0 MJF is, as his nickname suggests, the &#8220;Salt of the Earth&#8221; pro-wrestling heel.\u00a0 Together, these two can create many a memorable moment.\u00a0 Why not start at <em>Double or Nothing<\/em>?<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Womens Championship- No Countouts, No DQ: Nyla Rose (C) vs Hikaru Shida<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-68508 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprowrestling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2020\/05\/Nyla-Rose-vs-Hikaru-Shida-e1589471397513.jpg\" alt=\"Double Or Nothing\" width=\"600\" height=\"312\" srcset=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2020\/05\/Nyla-Rose-vs-Hikaru-Shida-e1589471397513.jpg 600w, https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2020\/05\/Nyla-Rose-vs-Hikaru-Shida-e1589471397513-300x156.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Nyla Rose<\/strong>&#8216;s title reign (and the women&#8217;s division as a whole) has been an unfortunate casualty of the COVID-19 crisis.\u00a0 Since beating<strong> Riho<\/strong> for the title back in February, she has been limited to just four matches.\u00a0 Most recently, on the go-home edition of Dynamite, she teamed with Dr. Britt Baker DMD\u00a0to defeat Kris Statlander and her <em>Double or Nothing<\/em> opponent, Hikaru Shida.\u00a0 Shida has been impressive in AEW, boasting a win\/loss record of 14\/6.\u00a0 With the dominance and sheer size advantage of Nyla Rose, Shida might be the only one left who can stand up to her.\u00a0 There has been much criticism of the AEW women&#8217;s division&#8217;s booking over the past year.\u00a0 Therefore, this could be a real opportunity for these two ladies to start the turning-round process.\u00a0 This has the potnential to be a good match, so hopefully they are given the time to put on a show.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>AEW World Championship: Jon Moxley (C) vs Mr. Brodie Lee<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-69016\" src=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprowrestling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2020\/05\/Mr-Brodie-Lee-vs-Jon-Moxley-e1590069073260.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"337\"><\/p>\n<p><strong>Jon Moxley<\/strong> and <strong>Brodie Lee<\/strong> have brawled with each other all over the world.\u00a0 In more recent years, they did so in the <strong>WWE<\/strong>, as <strong>Dean Ambrose<\/strong> and <strong>Luke Harper<\/strong>.\u00a0 Before that, they did so with their current names, in the likes of<strong> CZW<\/strong> &#8211; where they tore each other apart in death matches.\u00a0 In recent weeks, Lee has stolen Moxley&#8217;s AEW Championship.\u00a0 With his ever-growing number of followers, he has unloaded beat downs on Mox.\u00a0 In a Vegas themed event, it&#8217;s not out of place to say the odds are firmly stacked against Jon Moxley.\u00a0 However, Mox is no ordinary man.\u00a0 A true glutton for punishment; a man who loves a brawl and won&#8217;t back down from a fight.\u00a0 He&#8217;s a masochist &#8211; he enjoys pain.\u00a0 The Exalted One may have bitten off more than he can chew in picking a fight with the AEW Champion.\u00a0 Can he walk out with his gold? Find out this Saturday at Double or Nothing 2020.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Stadium Stampede: The Inner Circle (Chris Jericho, Jake Hager, Sammy Guevara, Santana &amp; Ortiz) vs The Elite (Matt Hardy, Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson, Hangman Page &amp; Kenny Omega)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-69018\" src=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprowrestling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2020\/05\/Stadium-Stampede-e1590069364546.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"335\"><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Elite<\/strong> (<strong>Matt Hardy<\/strong>, Kenny Omega, <strong>The Young Bucks<\/strong> and <strong>Adam Page<\/strong>) meet the <strong>Inner Circle<\/strong> (<strong>Chris Jericho<\/strong>, <strong>Jake Hager<\/strong>, <strong>Sammy Guevara<\/strong>, <strong>Santana<\/strong> and <strong>Ortiz<\/strong>) in a Stadium Stampede match.\u00a0 It&#8217;s a match which literally takes place inside a football stadium.\u00a0 We perhaps had a glimpse of what this would look like recently, when Omega and Hardy brawled with Jericho and Guevara into the backstage area (Guevara was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=-znoQgnzhLE&amp;t=1s\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ran over by a golf cart<\/a>).\u00a0 This is a feud which has been ongoing almost as long as AEW has been around.\u00a0 At <em>Double or Nothing 2020<\/em>, one must think it finally comes to a close.\u00a0 Will the Young Bucks (<strong>Matt Jackson<\/strong> and <strong>Nick Jackson<\/strong>) and Adam Page show up? They&#8217;ve missed the last couple months of this story, through the COVID-19 crisis.\u00a0 It&#8217;s almost certain they will.\u00a0 This is going to be a possible match of the night contender, so tune in to see The Elite brawl with the Inner Circle.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>TNT Championship: Cody vs Lance Archer W\/Jake Roberts<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-68510\" src=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprowrestling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2020\/05\/Lance-Archer-vs-Cody.png\" alt=\"Double Or Nothing\" width=\"600\" height=\"335\" srcset=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2020\/05\/Lance-Archer-vs-Cody.png 600w, https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2020\/05\/Lance-Archer-vs-Cody-300x168.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Lastly, we have the match which will possibly unseat the AEW Championship match from the main event.\u00a0 <strong>Cody<\/strong> meet<strong>s Lance Archer<\/strong> in the final of the TNT Championship tournament.\u00a0 To make things extra interesting, <strong>Mike Tyson<\/strong> will be on-hand to award the championship to the winner.\u00a0 Coming out of <strong>Arn Anderson<\/strong> and <strong>Jake &#8220;The Snake&#8221; Roberts<\/strong>&#8216; epic confrontation on the most recent episode of Dynamite, it appears Archer wants to knock out &#8220;Iron&#8221; Mike.\u00a0 Lance Archer is a mean man who just wants to hurt all those who oppose him.\u00a0 He has demonstrated that since his debut and most prominently in his match against Dustin Rhodes &#8211; who Archer left a bleeding, broken, lifeless vessel of pain.\u00a0 He will no doubt try to do the same to Cody, too.\u00a0 Cody, however, will be looking to avenge his brother.\u00a0 This has become about so much more than the TNT Championship, but it is still the purpose of this match.\u00a0 It&#8217;s the likely main event of AEW Double or Nothing 2020 and it&#8217;s live, Saturday 23 on pay-per-view.<\/p>\n<p>Stay tuned to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprowrestling.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Last Word on Pro Wrestling<\/a>\u00a0for more on this and other stories from around the world of wrestling, as they develop.
