Cuervo, who is a 5-time <strong>World Tag Team Champion<\/strong> for the <strong>World Wrestling Council<\/strong>\u00a0has previously showed displeasure with WWC\u2019s way of booking this year.<\/p>\n<p>After <strong>Mike Mendoza<\/strong> and <strong>Angel Fashion<\/strong> made the jump from<strong> WWC<\/strong> to the <strong>World Wrestling League<\/strong>, many fans saw Cuervo as WWC\u2019s last hope to build in a young promising talent that can ignite their fan base. But lately, <strong>Puerto Rico&#8217;s<\/strong> oldest promotion has decided to go with their veterans like WWC Head Booker <strong>Ray Gonzalez<\/strong> and the legendary tag team of T<strong>hunder &amp; Lightning<\/strong>. Then, on 7\/29 in Dorado, Cuervo made the safe for <strong>CWA Champion Star Roger<\/strong> and <strong>CWA Puerto Rican Champion Justin Dynamite<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s still unknown if Cuervo left the WWC or that he will still be working with them after Summer Madness (Cuervo is booked for the 8\/5 show), but right now it seems that CWA wants to build Cuervo and later have a feud against the longest reigning champion in Puerto Rico right now Star Roger. Ursus seemed to be without a direction at the start of 2017, he filled in for <strong>Black Pain<\/strong> and did a job in <strong>WWC: Euforia 2017<\/strong> for <strong>Apolo<\/strong>. The powerhouse then was floating around without seeing much action until rumors of him coming to the rebranded WWL started to float around. The deal with <strong>WWL<\/strong> never concluded and neither a booking opportunity for a <strong>CWA<\/strong> appearance.<\/p>\n<p>Now, at the last minute of WWC TV on Saturday, a familiar face alongside his infamous manager appeared. <strong>Juan Manuel Ortega<\/strong>, who is Ursus&#8217; manager, describe their return as a vengeance against Ray Gonzalez. Because of the WWC Universal Champion (Ray), Ursus lost his Mask and Ortega his hair, now the pair are going for Gonzalez\u2019s Universal Title.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>TNT Returns To Japan<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6877\" src=\"http:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2017\/08\/06.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"330\" srcset=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2017\/08\/06.jpg 450w, https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2017\/08\/06-300x220.jpg 300w, https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2017\/08\/06-80x60.jpg 80w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The name <strong>TNT<\/strong> is well known for Puerto Rican and Japanese fans. For years in the late 80s and early 90s, TNT was the alias for former <strong>WWF<\/strong> superstar <strong>Savio Vega<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Savio had an infamous run as the \u201cNinja Karateka\u201d, feuding with the likes of <strong>Leo Burke<\/strong>, <strong>Abdulla the Butcher<\/strong>, <strong>Mr. Pogo<\/strong> and later in the pinnacle of his persona against Puerto Rico\u2019s top face <strong>Carlos Colon<\/strong>. Vega used his Martial Arts Skill and merged them with a serious persona assisted by notorious manager in Puerto Rico <strong>El Profe<\/strong>. \u00a0Savio would take his TNT character to <strong>All Japan Pro Wrestling<\/strong> in the late 80s, teaming with Abdullah the Butcher, but it was in <strong>New Japan Pro Wrestling<\/strong> where he would have a longer stint. He would team frequently with former <strong>IWGP Heavyweight Champion Scott Norton<\/strong> &amp; <strong>\u00a0Vader<\/strong> and feud against the legend <strong>Keji Mutoh<\/strong> (The Great Mutah).<\/p>\n<p>Now, after 20 years of absent, Savio Vega revived his Martial Arts Gimmick and appeared for Keji Mutho\u2019s <strong>Pro Wrestling Master<\/strong> show in the <strong>Korakuen Hall<\/strong> in Tokyo, Japan. Savio described it as a \u201cproud moment\u201d, having the honor of teaming with <strong>The Great Mutah<\/strong> and <strong>The Great Kabuki<\/strong>. He said that it was a long time absent from the territory of Japan, but he felt great having the opportunity of seeing old friends like the old <strong>Kaintai Group<\/strong> (Taka Michinoku had a run in the early 2000s in Puerto Rico). This summer, the promotion is doing 150 fans per show and has seen at least 5 big talents leave the promotion. WWC has seen some success with <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprowrestling.com\/2017\/07\/18\/ot-fernandez-bringing-back-glory-wwc-jr-title\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>OT Fernandez&#8217;s<\/strong> Jr. Heavywieght Tittle run <\/a>and with the return of Mighty Ursus, it seems that things will turn around. But this Saturday, one of the oldest promotion in the wrestling world needs to deliver. The <strong>WWL<\/strong> is averaging better than them and it seem that their own fans have turn on them because of their lackluster booking.<\/p>\n<p>The show on 8\/5 will have the return of former <strong>WWE<\/strong> Intercontinental, United States and Tag Team Champion <strong>Carlito<\/strong>. He will face in his long-outdated feud against Ray Gonzalez for the WWC Universal Championship. <strong>Xix Xavant<\/strong> will team with former Universal and <strong>IWA<\/strong> World Champion <strong>Chicano<\/strong> against La Revolucion. The show featured a mix of Puerto Rican talent and indie powerhouses of the wrestling scene. It\u2019s still unclear what was the attendance, but streaming buys for the iPPV did well according to their press representatives. In some of the results: <strong>Penta 0M<\/strong> b <strong>Brian Cage<\/strong> to retain his Lucha Submission Title, <strong>Mil Muertes<\/strong> b <strong>Rey Fenix<\/strong> and <strong>Mecha Wolf 450<\/strong> to become the #1 Contender for the Lucha Submission Title, <strong>Blue Demon Jr. &amp; Boricua Guerrero<\/strong> b <strong>Noriega &amp; Savio Vega<\/strong>, <strong>Ivelisse<\/strong> vs. <strong>Santana Garrett<\/strong> ends in DQ and <strong>Thunder &amp; Lightning<\/strong> vs. <strong>Mr. Aguila &amp; Minotaur<\/strong> end in DQ.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; WWL will have their <strong>High Voltage Live<\/strong> Show in Juncos, Puerto Rico on 8\/5. The main event will be <strong>Mecha Wolf 450<\/strong> vs. <strong>BIG<\/strong> vs. <strong>Nazareno<\/strong> for the WWL Title. Also, <strong>JC Navarro<\/strong> vs.<strong> Angel Fashion<\/strong>,<strong>Electrox<\/strong> vs. <strong>Payatronic<\/strong>, <strong>Mike Mendoza<\/strong>, <strong>Vanilla Vargas<\/strong>, <strong>Manny Ferno<\/strong> and many others.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <strong>Championship Wrestling School<\/strong> had to cancel their 7\/29 show in Vega Baja due to the person in charge for the ring the ring didn\u2019t show up. They would have their 7\/30 show in Santurce in front of 65 fans.
