{"id":67839,"date":"2020-05-02T18:52:10","date_gmt":"2020-05-02T22:52:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lastwordonprowrestling.com\/?p=67839"},"modified":"2020-05-02T19:13:55","modified_gmt":"2020-05-02T23:13:55","slug":"report-becky-lynch-to-appear-in-upcoming-marvel-movie","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/2020\/05\/02\/report-becky-lynch-to-appear-in-upcoming-marvel-movie\/","title":{"rendered":"Report: Becky Lynch To Appear In Upcoming Marvel Movie"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Just days after being <strong>Becky Lynch<\/strong> was announced as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wwe.com\/article\/becky-lynch-billions-brian-koppelman-the-bump\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">joining the Showtime show <em><strong>Billions<\/strong><\/em> <\/a>for its fifth season premiere, <strong>Kris Tapley<\/strong> from Netflix&#8217;s <strong>The Call Sheet<\/strong> dropped a surprise on his Twitter on Saturday afternoon that &#8220;The Man&#8221; would also be appearing in an upcoming Marvel movie.<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/twitter.com\/kristapley\/status\/1256632750230011904<\/p>\n<p>While Tapley is being mum on which project Lynch will be making an appearance in, there&#8217;s certainly lots of upcoming productions, some already filmed, that could be the film in which the reigning Raw Women&#8217;s Champion could appear. It could be in the postponed\u00a0<em><strong>Black Widow<\/strong><\/em><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>film, now set for a November 2020 release, or <em><strong>Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings<\/strong>,\u00a0<\/em>which began filming this past February until being shut down in March over COVID-19 concerns. It&#8217;s still scheduled for release on May 7, 2021. There are also two other Marvel Cinematic Universe films in pre-production, <strong><em>Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>and\u00a0<em><strong>Thor: Love &amp; Thunder,<\/strong><\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em>that could see Becky Lynch popping up in when they&#8217;re released in 2022. The report from Kris Tapley doesn&#8217;t specify if it&#8217;s a Marvel movie from the expansive Marvel Cinematic Universe or one of the other Marvel films not under production from Disney, such as the upcoming releases, <strong><em>Venom<\/em><\/strong><em><strong>: Let There Be Carnage<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>or <strong><em>Morbius\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>in Sony&#8217;s Spiderverse. Based on appearances only, many comic book fans are suggesting it could be the character <strong>Angela<\/strong>, the lost sister of <strong>Thor<\/strong> and <strong>Loki<\/strong> who originally debuted in\u00a0<strong>Image Comics&#8217;<\/strong> <em><strong>Spawn<\/strong><\/em>, before being sold to Marvel Comics in 2013. Slaughter<\/strong> joining Marvel&#8217;s <em><strong>GI Joe<\/strong><\/em> animated series and movie in the 1980s. In 2007, <strong>Kane<\/strong> appeared in an episode of DC Comics&#8217; <em><strong>Smallville<\/strong><\/em> as <strong>Titan<\/strong>, while the DC Arrowverse has seen <strong>Edge<\/strong> appear in <em><strong>The Flash<\/strong> <\/em>as <strong>Atom Smasher<\/strong> and AEW&#8217;s <strong>Cody Rhodes<\/strong> appears in <em><strong>Arrow<\/strong><\/em> as <strong>Derek Sampson<\/strong>.\u00a0<strong>Kevin Nash\u00a0<\/strong>has appeared in two comic book properties, first as <strong>Shredder<\/strong> in 1991&#8217;s <strong><em>Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze<\/em>\u00a0<\/strong>then as\u00a0<strong>The Russian\u00a0<\/strong>in <strong>Thomas Jane<\/strong>&#8216;s 2004 version of\u00a0<em><strong>The Punisher.\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>Former WCW Superstar <strong>Tyler Mane<\/strong> appeared as <strong>Sabretooth<\/strong> in 2000&#8217;s <em><strong>X-Men<\/strong><\/em> and even <strong>Triple H<\/strong> joined in on the action, starring as <strong>Jarko Grimwood\u00a0<\/strong>in\u00a0<em><strong>Blade: Trinity<\/strong><\/em> in 2004. In 2002, <strong>&#8220;Macho Man&#8221; Randy Savage<\/strong> portrayed cage fighter <strong>Bone Saw McGraw<\/strong> in <strong>Tobey Maguire<\/strong>&#8216;s first outing in <em><strong>Spider-Man<\/strong><\/em>, while former WCCW and WCW wrestler <strong>Jeep Swenson<\/strong> portrayed <strong>Bane<\/strong> in 1997&#8217;s <em><strong>Batman and Robin<\/strong><\/em>.
