{"id":67578,"date":"2020-04-28T12:48:59","date_gmt":"2020-04-28T16:48:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lastwordonprowrestling.com\/?p=67578"},"modified":"2020-04-28T12:48:59","modified_gmt":"2020-04-28T16:48:59","slug":"preview-nxt-4-29-20","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/2020\/04\/28\/preview-nxt-4-29-20\/","title":{"rendered":"Preview: NXT (4\/29\/20)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It is that time again.\u00a0 Once again, the <strong>NXT<\/strong> preview is here&#8230; which means the latest episode of NXT is soon to follow.\u00a0 This week&#8217;s NXT is yet another behind-closed-doors show.\u00a0 In recent weeks, the black and yellow brand has promoted events with just two matches.\u00a0 Last week&#8217;s was a notable exception, as it billed the entire card in advance (though the mouth watering prospect of <strong>The Velveteen Dream<\/strong> versus <strong>Finn Balor<\/strong> turned out to be little more than a cruel tease).\u00a0 This week&#8217;s show has returned to promoting just two matches in advance.\u00a0 However, they should both be good, if not great matches.\u00a0 Let&#8217;s get to it!<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Charlotte Flair vs Mia Yim<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-67580\" src=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprowrestling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2020\/04\/Charlotte-Flair-vs-Mia-Yim-e1588010926308.jpg\" alt=\"NXT\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" \/><\/p>\n<p>One of the two matches currently billed is this one: <strong>Charlotte Flair<\/strong> versus <strong>Mia Yim<\/strong>.\u00a0 You might be tricked into believing this is a &#8220;first time ever&#8221; match.\u00a0 However, Charlotte beat Yim way back in 2014, during her initial NXT run.\u00a0 That match was little more than a squash, with Charlotte winning inside a minute.\u00a0 However, you can certainly expect this week&#8217;s version of the match to go <em>much<\/em> longer than that.\u00a0 Last week, Mia Yim defeated <strong>\u00a0Jessi Kamea <\/strong>in just three minutes and comes into this match strong.\u00a0 Whereas she might not defeat Charlotte this time around, she is sure to give her a far more competitive bout.\u00a0 It is rare for Yim to be seen as the underdog, but this week she certainly is.\u00a0 Expect a very good showing from these two.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>NXT North American Championship: Keith Lee (C) vs Damien Priest<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-67579\" src=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprowrestling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2020\/04\/Keith-Lee-vs-Damien-Priest-e1588010854259.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\"><\/p>\n<p>The currently billed main event:<strong> Keith Lee<\/strong> versus <strong>Damien Priest<\/strong>.\u00a0 Since joining NXT, both men have faced each other over <em>ten<\/em> times.\u00a0 Ten! In the early days of this feud, Priest (as both <strong>Punishment Martinez<\/strong> and Priest) won most of the matches.\u00a0 Now, however, the tables have fully turned against him.\u00a0 Their most recent contest came in a <em><strong>TakeOver<\/strong> <\/em>match (but took place on an episode of NXT) and featured Dominik Dijakovic as the third man.\u00a0 Of course, Lee successfully defended his WWE NXT North American Championship in the match.\u00a0 This time around, it is one versus one.\u00a0 Monster versus monster.\u00a0 Priest versus Lee.\u00a0 Can he pull off the victory here and remind everyone that he<em> can<\/em> defeat Lee, or will he bask in his glory once more?
