{"id":65841,"date":"2020-04-01T13:06:57","date_gmt":"2020-04-01T17:06:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lastwordonprowrestling.com\/?p=65841"},"modified":"2020-04-01T13:06:57","modified_gmt":"2020-04-01T17:06:57","slug":"preview-nxt-4-1-20","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/2020\/04\/01\/preview-nxt-4-1-20\/","title":{"rendered":"Preview: NXT (4\/1\/20)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>WWE NXT<\/strong> is back with another exciting edition of its weekly episodic programming.\u00a0 It shall be airing on a tape delay from its Full Sail base in Winter Park, Florida.\u00a0 As has been the case in recent weeks, the show will take place without a crowd in attendance.\u00a0 As the coronavirus epidemic continues to sweep the country, it is vital safety measures are put into place.\u00a0 However, this show appears to be one not to be missed.\u00a0 So let&#8217;s dive right in!<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Velveteen Dream vs Bobby Fish<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-65842\" src=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprowrestling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2020\/03\/Velveteen-Dream-vs-Bobby-Fish-e1585436191220.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\"><\/p>\n<p>It was <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprowrestling.com\/2020\/03\/24\/triple-h-to-appear-on-tomorrows-nxt-takeover-announcement\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">announced last week<\/a> that the scheduled <em><strong>NXT TakeOver: Tampa Bay<\/strong><\/em> would be taking place over the course of the next few weeks.\u00a0 <strong>Velveteen Dream<\/strong> versus <strong>Bobby Fish<\/strong> is the first of the scheduled <em>TakeOver<\/em> matches set to take place.\u00a0 This feud has been on-going for a while now.\u00a0 It all began back in October of 2019 when Fish &#8211; with his Undisputed Era cohorts &#8211; took Dream out.\u00a0 This put The Dream on the shelf for the next few months.\u00a0 Since returning in February of this year, he has consistently antagonized Fish.\u00a0 He has mocked Fish&#8217;s wife and son, making the feud personal.\u00a0 This is going to be a truly heated match and though it is now arguable Fish is the babyface in this match, expect a Velveteen Dream victory.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"The Velveteen Dream interrupts Undisputed ERA: WWE NXT, Feb. 19, 2020\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/RIkOLz3-NkQ?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Keith Lee vs Damian Priest vs Dominik Dijakovic<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-65843 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprowrestling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2020\/03\/Keith-Lee-vs-Dominik-Dijakovic-vs-Damian-Priest-e1585436260243.jpg\" alt=\"NXT\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Keith Lee<\/strong> has been on a roll in NXT for a while now.\u00a0 Dominant displays at <em><strong>Survivor Series<\/strong> <\/em>and <em><strong>Royal Rumble<\/strong><\/em> have established Keith as a certain future star.\u00a0 Standing in the way of his glory are the only two men in NXT bigger than him.\u00a0 <strong>Damian Priest<\/strong> and <strong>Dominik Dijakovic<\/strong> will be determined not to bask in the glory of Lee.\u00a0 Though it currently feels like decades ago, Lee and Dijakovic tore the house down recently at <em><strong>NXT TakeOver: Portland<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0 Both men proved that the big guys <em>can<\/em> work.\u00a0 Can they do the same with a third dance partner in Priest? We&#8217;re going to find out.\u00a0 This is not a match to be missed.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Keith Lee is confronted by Dominik Dijakovic and Damian Priest: WWE NXT, Jan. 29, 2020\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/li24EBs_qbI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Gauntlet To Qualify For Women&#8217;s Ladder Match<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-65844\" src=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprowrestling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2020\/03\/Womens-Gauntlet-e1585436315498.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\"><\/p>\n<p>The currently billed main event is a Second Chance Gauntlet Match to determine the final participant in the six-woman ladder match on next week&#8217;s show.\u00a0 In tonight&#8217;s match, we have <strong>Dakota Kai<\/strong>, <strong>Deonna Purrazzo<\/strong>, <strong>Aliyah<\/strong>, <strong>Kayden Carter<\/strong>,<strong> Xia Lee<\/strong> and <strong>Shotzi Blackheart<\/strong>.\u00a0 Currently, <strong>Mia Yim<\/strong>, <strong>Chelsea Green<\/strong>, <strong>Tegan Nox<\/strong>, <strong>Candie LeRae<\/strong> and a <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprowrestling.com\/2020\/03\/27\/return-joshi-judas-io-shirai\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">returning <strong>Io Shirai<\/strong> <\/a>have qualified for the ladder match.\u00a0 Each of the qualified woman defeated a woman in the match tonight.\u00a0 Who will best grasp the opportunity of a second chance?
