WWE made a huge announcement<\/a> on Wednesday night when they broke the news that this year’s WrestleMania would be a two-night event, hosted by none other than Rob Gronkowski.<\/p>\n

WrestleMania 36 is now set for a historic two-night presentation on WWE Network with former New England Patriot Rob Gronkowski hosting The Show of Shows at 7 p.m. ET\/4 p.m. PT on Saturday, April 4, and Sunday, April 5.<\/p>\n

The 2020 edition of The Showcase of the Immortals will make history as the first to span across multiple days.<\/p>\n

Earlier this week, it was announced\u00a0WrestleMania 36 would emanate from the WWE Performance Center<\/a>\u00a0in Orlando and only essential personnel will be on the closed set during production.<\/p>\n

Titles and legacies are on the line as WrestleMania 36 features a loaded slate of matches. Royal Rumble winner\u00a0Drew McIntyre<\/a>\u00a0challenges WWE Champion\u00a0Brock Lesnar<\/a>, Universal Champion\u00a0Goldberg<\/a>\u00a0defends his title against\u00a0Roman Reigns<\/a>,\u00a0and Raw Women\u2019s Champion\u00a0Becky Lynch<\/a>\u00a0looks to fight off the rise of\u00a0Shayna Baszler<\/a>. Also, 16-time World Champion\u00a0John Cena<\/a>\u00a0also returns to battle\u00a0\u201cThe Fiend\u201d Bray Wyatt<\/a>,\u00a0AJ Styles<\/a>\u00a0hopes to put the \u201cfinal nail in the coffin\u201d of\u00a0The Undertaker<\/a>\u2019s career and much more.<\/p>\n

Gronkowski revealed the new format and his role as host on his Twitter earlier today. The three-time Super Bowl champion also promised more details when he\u00a0appears on SmackDown this Friday<\/a> on FOX at 8\/7 C.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Gronkowski is scheduled to appear on this Friday’s episode of SmackDown and promised to reveal more details during his appearance. With no fans set to be in attendance due to the coronavirus threat, having a hype man like Gronk host the festivities will certainly add to the star factor that WrestleMania is known for.<\/p>\n

This marks a historic moment for WWE as it’s the first time they are hosting WrestleMania over multiple nights as well as the first time the event is held in front of no audience. Additional history will be made that night when the NXT Women’s Championship will be defended for the first time on the ‘Mania card.<\/p>\n
