{"id":65072,"date":"2020-03-18T17:09:49","date_gmt":"2020-03-18T21:09:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lastwordonprowrestling.com\/?p=65072"},"modified":"2020-03-18T17:09:49","modified_gmt":"2020-03-18T21:09:49","slug":"progress-cancels-shows-postpones-super-strong-style-16","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/2020\/03\/18\/progress-cancels-shows-postpones-super-strong-style-16\/","title":{"rendered":"PROGRESS Cancels Shows; Postpones Super Strong Style 16"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Following <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprowrestling.com\/2020\/03\/18\/fight-club-pro-postpone-dream-tag-team-invitational\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Fight Club: PRO<\/strong> and their response to postpone their biggest tournament of the year, <em><strong>Dream Tag Team Invitational<\/strong><\/em><\/a>, <strong>PROGRESS Wrestling<\/strong> announced on Wednesday plans to do the same thing with <em><strong>Super Strong Style 16<\/strong><\/em>, while also noting the cancellation and postponement of other events.<\/p>\n<p>On March 18th, PROGRESS released their statement, which can be found in its entirety below:<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/twitter.com\/mrichardshost\/status\/1240376373421711360<\/p>\n<p class=\"h2\"><strong>&#8220;Update: Camden, Manchester, Leeds, and Super Strong Style 16 2020<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"rte rte--indented-images\">\n<p>Firstly, thank you to everyone for being so patient with us during the past few weeks; it\u2019s been an absolute hellacious experience with every member of PROGRESS crew being dotted around the world and in different yet equally challenging positions. Here\u2019s what we need to share with you:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Camden Shows March 29th and April 20th are cancelled.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We regret to inform you that we have cancelled the Electric Ballroom shows on the March 29th and April 20th. We explored other options but decided at the end of the day that the best option for the wellbeing of talent, crew, and the fans that we do not run a show in any form. The Electric Ballroom have agreed with the decision.\u00a0<strong>So what about tickets?<\/strong>\u00a0Tickets bought with DICE will be automatically refunded for these shows; you don\u2019t need to do anything. Thank you to DICE for making this as hassle free as possible.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tickets for May 9th and May 10th<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>These dates have been postponed for now, and we are looking at replacement dates. We want to come to Manchester and Leeds but right now it\u2019s not a good thing to travel. What\u2019s important to remember here is that the refunds or validity swap will not be available until we have found replacement dates.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Super Strong Style 16 2020<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Super Strong Style 16 2020 will be postponed until the August Bank Holiday Weekend. We have been discussing the May dates with Alexandra Palace and feel that we can\u2019t guarantee what government measures will or will not be in place in May. Tickets for Super Strong Style 16 will be valid for the new dates or, if you\u2019re not able to make it, you can claim a refund via your ticket provider.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What\u2019s next?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>So what\u2019s next? Over the next few days we will be laying out our plans for the next few months as, like yourselves, we\u2019re at home keeping busy. We think it\u2019s a good time to bring the wrestling community together so make sure to keep an eye on your social networks over the next few days.
