{"id":64910,"date":"2020-03-15T21:56:41","date_gmt":"2020-03-16T01:56:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lastwordonprowrestling.com\/?p=64910"},"modified":"2020-03-15T21:56:41","modified_gmt":"2020-03-16T01:56:41","slug":"report-matt-hardy-set-to-return-to-fsw-for-11th-anniversary-show-in-june","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/2020\/03\/15\/report-matt-hardy-set-to-return-to-fsw-for-11th-anniversary-show-in-june\/","title":{"rendered":"REPORT: Matt Hardy Set to Return to FSW for 11th Anniversary Show in June"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Citing mostly local talent and consultation with all parties involved, <strong>Future Stars of Wrestling<\/strong> made the call to go ahead with this weekend&#8217;s shows including their major <em><strong>MECCA VI<\/strong><\/em> card which features huge matches and personalities such as <strong>IMPACT Wrestling<\/strong> Champion <strong>Tessa Blanchard<\/strong> as well as <strong>Filthy Tom Lawlor,<\/strong> <strong>Daga<\/strong>, <strong>Michael Elgin<\/strong>, <strong>Chris Masters<\/strong>, <strong>Alexander Hammerstone<\/strong> and more in tournament action to crown the FSW Grand Champion. It&#8217;s a great looking card but one person who was set to be there, in his first indie appearance since leaving <strong>WWE<\/strong>, <strong>Matt Hardy<\/strong>, is dealing with travel issues and thus was not able to make it.<\/p>\n<p>According to a tweet FITE TV sent out, Matt Hardy was expected to be &#8220;a very involved part&#8221; of the MECCA VI event. This would have marked Hardy&#8217;s return to the promotion for the first time since 2017. According to a tweet Hardy sent out on March 9th, his participation in MECCA VI would have, at the very least, included an in ring promo where he was set to discuss his future in professional wrestling as it relates to the second coming of the broken brilliance.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">On Sunday, March 15th, I\u2019m returning to Las Vegas to appear at <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/FSWVegas?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">@fswvegas<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/MeccaVI?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">#MeccaVI<\/a> at <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/samstownlv?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">@samstownlv<\/a>.. Hardy wrestled three matches for Future Stars of Wrestling in 2014, one in 2015 and one in 2017. A huge supporter of the promotion and with excitement to be returning to Las Vegas, Hardy had to unfortunately pull out of the event earlier on Sunday morning, due to travel issues. FSW announced they were working with Matt Hardy on finding a new date for his return and according to Las Vegas Wrestling Scene on Twitter, that date will be FSW&#8217;s June 11th Anniversary show.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Matt Hardy just announced he plans on returning to the Fight Capital for <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/FSWVegas?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">@fswvegas<\/a> 11th Anniversary show in June.<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Rono_LVWS (@baronovech) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/baronovech\/status\/1239344725112393728?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">March 16, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>While <a href=\"https:\/\/pwinsider.com\/article\/134597\/matt-hardy-returning-to-northeast-wrestling.html?p=1\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Hardy, who is set to make his in-ring indie return for <strong>Northeast Wrestling<\/strong> at <em><strong>Wrestlefest XXIV<\/strong><\/em><\/a>, was set to discuss his future plans at MECCA VI, it&#8217;s very likely some of those plans will be more clear.
