Thunder Rosa<\/strong> is one of the featured stars in the National Wrestling Alliance<\/strong>. Not only is she among the most popular wrestlers in the company, male or female, but she is the current reigning NWA World Women’s Champion to boot. Though she debuted as a villain, the support from the NWA faithful has been nothing short of impressive. It took time for her to reach this point, though, from her humble beginnings in 2014.<\/p>\n

Thunder Rosa made her professional wrestling debut with the California-based Supreme Pro Wrestling<\/strong>. There, she competed in their Halloween Costume Battle Royal. She continued her work throughout California in 2015 before making her way overseas in April of that year. During this time, she debuted for World Wonder Ring Stardom<\/strong>, joining the Oedo Tai<\/strong> stable. The stable in question featured other notable Stardom names, including Kris Wolf<\/strong>, Heidi Lovelace<\/strong>, and Kagetsu<\/strong>. During her time in Stardom, Thunder Rosa worked with other Stardom talent up until July.<\/p>\n

She would soon return to the northwest, competing for promotions including Gateway Grand Prix<\/strong>.<\/h5>\n

The following August, Thunder Rosa received her first taste of gold when she bested Kikyo<\/strong> for the GGP Sapphire Championship at the promotion’s 1-year anniversary event. The same month, Thunder Rosa debuted for Gold Rush Pro Wrestling<\/strong> during their Lady Luck Tournament<\/em><\/strong>, which was ultimately won by Cheerleader Melissa<\/strong>. Nonetheless, Rosa met Melissa in singles action in October, winning and adding the Lady Luck Championship to her ever-growing resume.<\/p>\n

It was also in 2015 when Thunder Rosa appeared on a pro wrestling-based TV show, Lucha Underground<\/strong>. She portrayed the character of Kobra Moon<\/strong>, the masked leader of the Reptile Tribe<\/strong>. As Kobra Moon, she picked up wins over the likes of Bengala<\/strong> and Sexy Star<\/strong>. She also showed interest in Daga<\/strong>, which would lead to title implications down the road. Nonetheless, in Lucha Underground’s second and third seasons, she made an impression.<\/p>\n

Back on the independent scene, Thunder Rosa continued her winning ways.<\/h5>\n

In May of 2016, she won the Union Independent Pro Wrestling<\/strong> Women’s Championship in a five-way match. She also began regularly teaming with Holidead<\/strong>, forming the tag team known as The Twisted Sisters<\/strong>. As a unit, they saw success, even winning the Vendetta Pro<\/strong> Tag Team Championship at September to Remember VII<\/em><\/strong>. October saw Thunder Rosa return to Stardom, competing in the Goddesses of Stardom Tag League<\/em><\/strong>. Alongside Holidead, she finished with 4 points. Thunder Rosa would also compete for the High Speed Championship, challenging Mayu Iwatani<\/strong> in November.<\/p>\n

For a time, the Vendetta Pro Tag Team Championship was re-branded as the NWA International Tag Team Championship. The Twisted Sisters dropped the rechristened title to The Ballard Brothers<\/strong>, Shane<\/strong> and Shannon Ballard<\/strong>, in January of 2017. Thunder Rosa continued her work across the independents, debuting for Warriors of Wrestling<\/strong> in June alongside Holidead. The same month, Thunder Rosa bested Shotzi Blackheart<\/strong> for the East Bay Pro Wrestling<\/strong> Ladies Championship. The following September, Thunder Rosa became the first \u2013 and so far, only \u2013 Allied Independent Wrestling Federations<\/strong> Women’s Champion.<\/p>\n

Thunder Rosa would continue to gain popularity by debuting for other well-known promotions, including SHINE Wrestling<\/strong> in October and RISE Wrestling<\/strong> in November. In 2018, Thunder Rosa continued to grow her presence, debuting for Ring of Honor<\/strong> in June. At ROH State of the Art<\/em><\/strong>, she teamed with Kelly Klein<\/strong> in a losing effort against Tenille Dashwood<\/strong> and inaugural Women of Honor Champion Sumie Sakai<\/strong>. The following July, The Twisted Sisters held gold again by claiming the SHINE Tag Team Championship.<\/p>\n
