US President <strong>Donald Trump<\/strong>&#8216;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2020\/03\/12\/world\/europe\/trump-travel-ban-coronavirus.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">30-day travel ban<\/a> with Europe made it impossible for wXw to send their German crew to the US for the event, part of a weeklong indie bonanza built around\u00a0<em>WrestleMania 36.<\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"zxx\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Ty5X44kteG\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">pic.twitter.com\/Ty5X44kteG<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Prestige Wrestling (@WrestlePrestige) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/WrestlePrestige\/status\/1238182437433135104?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">March 12, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The Pacific Northwest has become a hot bed again for the first time since the strong NWA territory of the 1970s, and Oregon&#8217;s <strong>Prestige Wrestling<\/strong> has been a huge part of that. Prestige was planning to hold an event in Tampa on April 2, but they had the painful duty of announcing its cancellation on Thursday as well, saying it will cause a &#8220;major financial deficit for all of the team&#8221; in doing so.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">We&#39;re moving forward with <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/BigBalls?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">#BigBalls<\/a> as scheduled!<\/p>\n<p>If there&#39;s a limit put on public assembly, we&#39;ll cut off ticket sales.<\/p>\n<p>If we&#39;re not allowed to open this event to the public, we&#39;ll issue refunds &amp; stream on <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/indiewrestling?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">@indiewrestling<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>If we&#39;re forced to cancel, we&#39;ll go fuck ourselves. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/4stdn8pJUT\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">https:\/\/t.co\/4stdn8pJUT<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Beyond Wrestling (@beyondwrestling) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/beyondwrestling\/status\/1238187602966126597?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">March 12, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>While some promotions are sadly being forced (or deciding) to cancel their shows, some are insisting &#8220;the show must go on&#8221;. Earlier this week, <strong>The Collective<\/strong> &#8211; the indie coalition headed by <strong>Game Changer Wrestling (GCW)<\/strong> &#8211; announced that <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprowrestling.com\/2020\/03\/11\/wrestlemania-collective-coronavirus\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">all of their shows would run regardless of the WWE decision<\/a>, while on Thursday, <strong>Beyond Wrestling<\/strong> also announced that their show on Sunday, <em><strong>Big Balls<\/strong><\/em>, would also run as scheduled.<\/p>\n<p>As we continue to get updates on how the coronavirus will affect WWE and other wrestling companies, stay tuned to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprowrestling.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Last Word on Pro Wrestling<\/a>\u00a0for more on this and other stories from around the world of wrestling, as they develop.
