We have left this article in its original format based on Max&#8217;s identification at the time of publication, but all future articles will respect their identity choice announced later in the year of using &#8220;they\/them&#8221;.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>While the world of Big Men has been a staple of pro wrestling since its inception, powerhouses in the world of women&#8217;s wrestling is far less prevalent. But that&#8217;s not to say it doesn&#8217;t exist &#8211; we&#8217;ve seen the likes of <strong>Awesome Kong, Aja Kong, Nia Jax, Jessicka Havok, Faye Jackson<\/strong>, and many more find great success in pro wrestling. One of the brightest prospects in women&#8217;s wrestling just happens to be another powerhouse with violent tendencies, who goes by the name of <strong>Max The Impaler.<\/strong><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_63608\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-63608\" style=\"width: 450px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-63608\" src=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprowrestling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2020\/02\/49191265_272388793381432_863421596251979776_o-e1582651409148.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"451\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-63608\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/joanna_dhollowoak\/<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Originally from Dayton, Ohio, Max The Impaler debuted in 2018 with <strong>Rogue Women&#8217;s Warriors<\/strong> (the sister company for Pennsylvania&#8217;s <strong>Atomic Championship Wrestling<\/strong>), but really broke out while working with <strong>IWA Mid South<\/strong> in 2019, where she would capture the IWA Mid South Women&#8217;s Championship on two separate occasions. Honing her craft in a rough and tumble atmosphere like IWA Mid South has helped groom the warrior that Max the Impaler has become.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Can&#039;t Miss Match: Heidi Katrina VS Max The Impaler\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/xfjovNF8P0E?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>During her time with IWA Mid South, she faced veterans like <strong>Su Yung, Naveah, Thunder Kitty<\/strong>, and <strong>Laynie Luck<\/strong> and other rising stars like <strong>Alice Crowley<\/strong> and <strong>Lady Frost<\/strong>. But just because she&#8217;s a woman doesn&#8217;t mean she has confined themself to just facing other women. She&#8217;s fought many intergender match-ups, against the likes of <strong>Shane Mercer, Mo Atlas<\/strong>, and <strong>Brandon Taggert<\/strong>, while facing new talent at OVW like <strong>Ruby Raze, Ray Lynn<\/strong>, and former 5x IMPACT Knockouts Champion <strong>Madison Rayne<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"O\u2019Shea Edwards vs Max the Impaler\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/jZEruolkpRA?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>On February 22, she appeared on the <a href=\"https:\/\/impactplus.tv\/details\/5d41cd2da0e845001d40ae00\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">IMPACT Wrestling\/OVW co-production, <em><strong>Sacrifice<\/strong><\/em><\/a>, where she had an impressive victory over <strong>Cali Young<\/strong>.
