According to Wrestling Observer Radio, one of the indie’s top stars, 22-year old Lio Rush<\/strong>, is heading to Orlando for a medical – once he’s passed the medical, it’s expected that the young superstar will be headed to NXT to begin work with the WWE’s third brand.<\/p>\n

A product of Maryland Championship Wrestling<\/strong>, Rush made his debut in 2014 in the tag team Sudden Impact<\/strong>, alongside NXT Superstar Patrick Clark<\/strong> (currently working as The Velveteen Dream<\/strong>). He’s since gone on to become one of the indie circuit’s hottest young stars, working with Ring of Honor, EVOLVE, PWG<\/strong> and CZW<\/strong>, where he recently won the CZW World Heavyweight title (he’s since lost it to Davey Richards<\/strong>).<\/p>\n
