{"id":62353,"date":"2020-02-05T06:49:54","date_gmt":"2020-02-05T11:49:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lastwordonprowrestling.com\/?p=62353"},"modified":"2020-02-05T06:49:54","modified_gmt":"2020-02-05T11:49:54","slug":"gaea-japan-returns","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/2020\/02\/05\/gaea-japan-returns\/","title":{"rendered":"GAEA Japan To Return For 25th Anniversary Show"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It was announced during a press conference that <strong>GAEA Japan\u00a0<\/strong>would return for the first time in fifteen years as\u00a0<strong>Chigusa Nagayo<\/strong> and <strong>Meiko Satomura\u00a0<\/strong>celebrate the company&#8217;s 25th anniversary.\u00a0 Most fans only know of\u00a0<strong>All Japan Women&#8217;s Pro Wrestling\u00a0<\/strong>(AJW) from the 90&#8217;s Joshi era but there were other companies active at the time.\u00a0 One of these would be GAEA Japan, set up by the legendary Chigusa Nagayo as she came out of retirement to become the face of GAEA.<\/p>\n<p>GAEA Japan would become notable as the space for the\u00a0<strong>Crush Gals<\/strong> (Nagayo &amp; <strong>Lioness Asuka<\/strong>) to return, both as rivals and as a tag team.\u00a0 The return of the Crush Gals would be the biggest draw of the company as Nagayo and Asuka were two of the biggest stars to ever come out of AJW.\u00a0 GAEA will also be remembered for producing Meiko Satomura who would take over for Nagayo as the company ace and would defeat Nagayo in the final GAEA match ever.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Akira Hokuto vs Meiko Satomura 4\/29\/2001 GAEA\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/LH56Y4jFO6c?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer;
