This was no ordinary week of Friday Night WWE action this week. It was time for the first-ever (maybe?) Super SmackDown on FOX. To be followed up with this Sunday\u2019s upcoming Super Bowl, it was time to be super. With this being the first show for the blue brand since the Royal Rumble<\/em><\/strong>, they had to do their absolute best to make a splash. In a show that can be described a good effort, the highlights were there for the picking. So without further ado, here are the highlights from the final SmackDown of January. <\/span><\/p>\n

Morrison, Miz Move On To Super Showdown<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Now listen, this ain\u2019t no make believe. No, seriously. Over a decade after they formed and became tag team champions, they have that shot all over again. It was a four-way tag team match to decide the number one contender for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships. You got Heavy Machinery<\/strong>, The Lucha House Party<\/strong>, the agitated Revival<\/strong>, and of course John Morrison<\/strong> and The Miz<\/strong>. And it was a solid match overall, as it seemed that Heavy Machinery would actually walk out with the W. That was not the case. Some good tag teaming by the oldest tag team of the group led to a Starship Pain by Morrison to get the win and move on to Super Showdown<\/em><\/strong> to face The New Day<\/strong>. Oh, and even bigger news. \u201cThe Dirt Sheet\u201d returns NEXT week.<\/span><\/p>\n
