The Collective<\/strong>, a unified front of international indies spearheaded by Game Changer Wrestling (GCW)<\/strong><\/a>, has a huge array of events over this April’s WrestleMania Week, including their flagship, Joey Janela’s Spring Break 4<\/strong><\/em>, plus events from Black Label Pro<\/strong>, Japan’s FREEDOMS<\/strong>, Absolute Intense Wrestling (AIW)<\/strong>, and the wrestlers of color event For The Culture<\/strong><\/a>. Another event, and one of the more recent announcements, is that multiple promotions from the red hit Texas indie circuit are uniting together for a showcase called Texas Forever<\/strong><\/em>. While no matches have been announced, the Texas collective has begun to announce some of the names confirmed from the all-Texas showcase. The event is being produced by Inspire Pro<\/strong> (Austin), Sabotage Wrestling<\/strong> (Austin), Heavy Metal Wrestling <\/strong>(San Antonio), New Texas Pro Wrestling<\/strong> (Abilene), and Lucha Brutal\u00a0<\/strong>(Dallas).<\/p>\n

While not from Texas, former Major League Wrestling (MLW)<\/strong> World Champion “Filthy” Tom Lawlor<\/strong> has appeared for two MLW events in Texas, including the War Chamber Match this past September.<\/p>\n

One of the top prospects from Texas is Houston’s Hyan<\/strong>. Texas has produced a lot of the top tier women’s talent in the past few years, and Hyan is on the bubble of exploding into 2020. A student of 2x WWE Hall of Famer Booker T<\/strong>, she’s the reigning 3x Reality of Wrestling<\/strong> Diamonds Champion and also holds the Sabotage Championship as well.<\/p>\n

Ricky Starks<\/strong> has been one of Texas’ best kept secrets<\/a> the past few years, but since departing the tag team Extra Talented<\/strong>, Starks’ stock as a singles competitor has sky rocketed over the past year, in part due to being one of the young stars that the rebooted National Wrestling Alliance (NWA)<\/strong> is building around.<\/p>\n
