Dennis is injured and has had to vacate the championship.\u00a0 He tried to give the title to his friend\u00a0<strong>Mark Andrews\u00a0<\/strong>but instead, PROGRESS<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>put the title on the line in their main event.<\/p>\n<p>The main event ended up being Cara Noir vs\u00a0<strong>Ilja Dragunov<\/strong>, who beat Andrews <strong>vs<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Kyle Fletcher<\/strong>, who beat\u00a0<strong>LJ Cleary\u00a0<\/strong>vs\u00a0<strong>Paul Robinson<\/strong>, who beat\u00a0<strong>A-Kid<\/strong>.\u00a0 The elimination match came down to Cara Noir and Ilja Dragunov who got to reignite their recent feud.\u00a0 Cara Noir emerged victorious to win the PROGRESS World Championship just four months after making his debut as part of the\u00a0<em>Natural Progression Series<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The Black Swan of British Wrestling had a fantastic 2019, making himself one of the biggest names in the scene thanks to his captivating entrance and a buzzworthy match with\u00a0<strong>PAC\u00a0<\/strong>in\u00a0<strong>Riptide Wrestling<\/strong>.\u00a0 Noir was all set to have a big 2020 and has kicked it off in the best way possible by winning the PROGRESS title at Chapter 101.<\/p>\n<p>For PROGRESS this gives them a chance to really freshen up the title picture as the title has been held by NXT UK contracted talent for a year now.\u00a0 Noir is as indie as they come and will be unrestricted in who he can defend against.\u00a0 He&#8217;s also a much fresher face than either\u00a0<strong>WALTER\u00a0<\/strong>or Eddie Dennis<\/p>\n<p>Stay tuned to the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Last Word on Pro Wrestling<\/a>\u00a0for more on this and other stories from around the world of wrestling, as they develop.
