Stardom’s 9th Anniversary show was already expected to be a big show for Stardom with it’s stacked lineup featuring Mayu Iwatani vs Momo Watanabe\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Arisa Hoshiki vs Utami Hayashishita<\/strong>.\u00a0 The show ended up being a huge success drawing 1600 fans, the second-highest attendance in Stardom history, and featuring a lot of huge changes.<\/p>\n

#AndNEW Bea Priestley & Jamie Hayter Win Goddesses Of Stardom Championship<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\"Stardom<\/p>\n

Ever since agreeing to join forces the Gaijin duo of Bea Priestley and Jamie Hayter has been one of the strongest booked teams in Stardom.\u00a0 The Queen’s Quest and Oedo Tai members were always booked very well by Stardom but since joining forces they have been near unbeatable.\u00a0 At Stardom 9th Anniversary<\/em> the defeated the\u00a0Tokyo Cyber Squad\u00a0<\/strong>duo of\u00a0Konami\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Jungle Kyona<\/strong>.\u00a0 This is the first time a gaijin team has ever held the goddesses of stardom championships and is surely one of the first times ever that a cross-faction team has won the tag belts.\u00a0 \u00a0Which leads us to our next piece of news<\/p>\n

Bea Priestley Joins Oedo Tai<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Oedo Tai’s rebuild continues as they have recruited the Top Gaijin Bea Priestley<\/a>. Priestley waited until the end of the show to turn on her former faction and challenged\u00a0Arisa Hoshiki for the Wonder Of Stardom Championship.\u00a0 This move gives Oedo Tai more power as Priestley is a former World Of Stardom Champion and Queen’s Quest loses nothing as they still have Momo Watanabe and Utami Hayashishita in their ranks as well as\u00a0AZM\u00a0<\/strong>who is making a big impact lately.<\/p>\n

Syuri Is X<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Giulia had a suprise up her sleeve ahead of the show.\u00a0 She challenged Hana Kimura<\/strong> to a six-person tag team match despite not having any partners.\u00a0 After kicking\u00a0Andras Miyagi\u00a0<\/strong>to the curb Giulia went to\u00a0JUST TAP OUT <\/strong>to recruit Maika<\/a>.\u00a0 This left her with one more surprise partner to be revealed.\u00a0 This surprise ended up being the returning Syuri.\u00a0 Syuri last appeared for Stardom back in 2014.\u00a0 The 30-year old Syuri recently made her return to wrestling after a break to focus on her MMA career, she’s currently signed with the UFC.\u00a0 Syuri has been a freelancer ever since the closing of HUSTLE\u00a0<\/strong>and was mostly known for her tag team with Hikaru Shida.<\/strong>\u00a0 Syuri has been on fire ever since her return to wrestling with her incorporating her shoot background into her wrestling and is a great addition to Giulia’s faction which we now know is named Donna Del Mondo.<\/p>\n

Sareee Challenges Mayu Iwatani<\/strong><\/h3>\n

During the hectic end to the show Sareee appeared by video to challenge Mayu Iwatani.\u00a0 This cross-promotional bout has been expected since Mayu worked Sareee’s produce show.\u00a0 While it was expected Stardom would hold off on this one until the big Ota Ward show in April they have probably been forced to rush into it with Sareee leaving for the USA<\/a> at the end of February.<\/p>\n
