Back in the beginning of November, Hardy launched a Web Series on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UCfldkV2SsADCyp3SlI1Q6Ug\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">his YouTube Channel<\/a>, entitled &#8220;Free the Delete&#8221;, that began with Hardy having dreams and visions of his past Broken life. On Friday&#8217;s episode, he fought indie wrestler <strong>Ryzin<\/strong>. But in the closing moments, a strange voice told Hardy that the point of his match wasn&#8217;t to beat Ryzin, but to delete &#8220;Woken&#8221; Matt Hardy, <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprowrestling.com\/2017\/11\/28\/brokendown-matt-hardy-woken\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">WWE&#8217;s watered-down version<\/a> of <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprowrestling.com\/2016\/09\/09\/broken-fall-rise-matt-hardy\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">his popular Broken character from IMPACT Wrestling<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"#FreeTheDELETE Ep6 &quot;THE WOKEN DELETION&quot;\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/keySw-P0LYU?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>With Matt Hardy&#8217;s stock falling rapidly within WWE, it&#8217;s more than likely that the resurrection of his Broken Universe is being re-established for whatever company he decides to head to once his current contract expires, which, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pwinsider.com\/article\/131809\/why-matt-hardy-is-trying-to-free-the-delete-.html?p=1\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">according to PWInsider<\/a>, expires in February of 2020. The report also states that WWE is in negotiations with Hardy as well, and while the financial aspects are agreeable, Hardy is holding out to see how he will be utilized should he chose to re-sign again. If recent weeks are any indication, WWE seems to be jobbing Hardy out in the event he doesn&#8217;t re-sign with the company. Although he worked multiple Live Events in 2019, Hardy&#8217;s TV time in 2019 has been sporadic at best. He lost to <strong>Buddy Murphy<\/strong> and <strong>Dean McIntyre<\/strong> in recent weeks and failed to win the #1 contendership for the WWE United States title on December 16. Prior to his RAW return on November 25, he was last seen on WWE programming this past spring, when he and his brother <strong>Jeff Hardy<\/strong> won the SmackDown Tag Team titles in April after WrestleMania. They vacated the titles shortly after when Jeff was injured.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">I needed to return to <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/WWE?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">@WWE<\/a> to finish in the right way. I didn\u2019t want 2010 to be my finale. I returned in the most EPIC way &amp; repaid my debt. I waved the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/WWE?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">#WWE<\/a> flag with pride &amp; worked hard to be a model employee. He got the redemption he was seeking based on how his last WWE run ended (with serious drug problems) and now seems ready to bank on himself in 2020. Hardy could easily return to IMPACT Wrestling, the original home of the Broken Universe from 2015 to 2017, or head to <strong>All Elite Wrestling (AEW)<\/strong>, where his friends <strong>The Young Bucks<\/strong> work &#8211; the Bucks were the final opponents of the Hardy Boyz before the returned to the WWE in 2017. Ring of Honor is probably a longshot, but their final battle with the Bucks did happen in an ROH ring.
