I can&#39;t take all this retirement news all at once. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/zjOHxkhqk3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">https:\/\/t.co\/zjOHxkhqk3<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; John\u300c\u3075\u308a\u30fcWiFi\u300d (@DK1105) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DK1105\/status\/1209795443208704000?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">December 25, 2019<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>HIRO&#8217;e will retire on August 16th 2020.\u00a0 According to <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/sg_oxxt\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Shigeo<\/a>, a very helpful account that translates Japanese promos, she aims to become a bonesetter after her retirement.<\/p>\n<p>HIRO&#8217;e debuted as Hiroe Nagahama in 2015 and at 24-years old represented the only real hope for WAVE&#8217;s future.\u00a0 With her retirement and there being no other WAVE trainees currently active, the core WAVE roster is made up of older women like\u00a0<strong>Sakura Hirota\u00a0<\/strong>(41),\u00a0<strong>Yuki Miyazaki\u00a0<\/strong>(40) and owner\u00a0<strong>Yumi Ohka\u00a0<\/strong>(40).\u00a0 29-year old\u00a0<strong>Nagisa Nozaki<\/strong> will have more pressure than ever to become a big player for WAVE but she already has 13 years of wear and tear on her body.<\/p>\n<p>WAVE has failed to set the world on fire ever since the company&#8217;s reboot in early 2019 and it is sad to see that a company that used to be the pinnacle of the scene is now mostly irrelevant and without a clear future direction.\u00a0 While HIRO&#8217;e was unlikely to become a major star she represented some hope for WAVE&#8217;s future that looks more and more uncertain as time goes on.<\/p>\n<p>Stay tuned to the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Last Word on Pro Wrestling<\/a>\u00a0for more on this and other stories from around the world of wrestling, as they develop.
