(Not 1.29.2020) <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/HaK7uTu5n7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">pic.twitter.com\/HaK7uTu5n7<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; We Are Stardom (@we_are_stardom) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/we_are_stardom\/status\/1209788629737861120?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">December 25, 2019<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Kagetsu will wrestle for Stardom for the final time on January 26th and will officially retire at a self-produced show on February 24th, presumably making some stops at the likes of\u00a0<strong>Sendai Girls<\/strong> and <strong>Oz Academy <\/strong>before she retires.<\/p>\n<p>Kagetsu leaves Stardom having been one of it&#8217;s biggest stars.\u00a0 She was the leader of the popular Oedo Tai faction, she is one of the few people to ever hold the World Of Stardom championship, she is also a two-time Goddesses Of Stardom and Artist Of Stardom champion.\u00a0 Behind the scenes, she has also taken over as Stardom&#8217;s trainer which means her impact on the company will still be felt long after she leaves.<\/p>\n<p>Kagetsu was actually trained by\u00a0<strong>Meiko Satomura\u00a0<\/strong>and started her career as Yukari Ishino in Sendai Girls in 2008.\u00a0 She spent most of her career working as many promotions as possible and won titles in Oz Academy and <strong>JWP<\/strong>, she also competed for\u00a0<strong>Pro Wrestling WAVE<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>NEO Ladies<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Ice Ribbon\u00a0<\/strong>and even\u00a0<strong>Gatoh Move<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>For some fans this retirement is sudden but Kagetsu has been wrestling for over eleven years and the amount of tape on her neck has grown ever since her red belt run.\u00a0 She even wanted to retire previously but she stated <a href=\"https:\/\/johnnytetsupipe.wordpress.com\/2017\/11\/19\/kagetsus-ambition\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">in an interview<\/a> that <strong>Io Shirai\u00a0<\/strong>convinced her not to retire.\u00a0 While this is a sad loss for Stardom and wrestling, in general, we can&#8217;t deny that Kagetsu has given us more than we could ask of any wrestler and we plan to spend the last two months of her career celebrating her talents.<\/p>\n<p>Stay tuned to the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Last Word on Pro Wrestling<\/a>\u00a0for more on this and other stories from around the world of wrestling, as they develop.
