This edition will focus on the second generation star Hana Kimura who has all the potential to be a future superstar.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>At twenty-two years of age, Hana Kimura has the world at her feet.\u00a0 The second-generation star has become one of the main stars in Stardom ahead of their acquisition by Bushiroad and is set to carry the company forward as one of it&#8217;s biggest stars.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Starting Out &amp; Freelancing<\/strong><\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_58855\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-58855\" style=\"width: 400px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-58855 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprowrestling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2019\/12\/Hana-Kimura-2016-e1575316065389.jpeg\" alt=\"Hana Kimura\" width=\"400\" height=\"600\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-58855\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Hana (Left) With Mother Kyoko<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Hana Kimura debuted in 2016 for\u00a0<strong>Wrestle-1<\/strong>, the promotion she was trained, and had the first of many matches against\u00a0<strong>Reika Saiki<\/strong>. In 2016 Kimura spent her time as a freelancer winning both the JWP Junior and Princess Of Pro Wrestling titles.\u00a0 She would often team with her mother\u00a0<strong>Kyoko Kimura\u00a0<\/strong>and joined her Oedo Tai stable in Stardom.\u00a0 Kyoko retired in January of 2017 and this set Hana&#8217;s career in it&#8217;s own trajectory<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Oedo Tai\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-58856\" src=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprowrestling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2019\/12\/Oedo-Tai-e1575316990963.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\"><\/p>\n<p>With Kyoko retired Oedo Tai would become\u00a0<strong>Kagetsu<\/strong>&#8216;s faction.\u00a0 Hana Kimura slotted in as Kagetsu&#8217;s right-hand woman as Oedo Tai became one of the most popular factions in Stardom.\u00a0 The particular lineup above with Kagetsu, Kimura, <strong>Kris Wolf, Natsu Sumire,\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Tam Nakano\u00a0<\/strong>remains the favorite of many fans to this day.\u00a0 Kagetsu and Kimura won the Goddesses Of Stardom championships and would hold them for almost an entire year.\u00a0 For 2017 and most of 2018 Kimura would form a team with <strong>ASUKA\u00a0<\/strong>in Wrestle-1, who she signed with.\u00a0 She also made appearances for <strong>Ring Of Honor, Pro Wrestling: EVE<\/strong> and even spent time in Mexico.\u00a0 Despite this her main work was in Stardom as part of Oedo Tai, the faction her mother created and the one she was affiliated with for her entire career.\u00a0 It was this fact that made her next move all the more surprising<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Oedo Tai dances give me life. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/r7Jhx2IopI\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">pic.twitter.com\/r7Jhx2IopI<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Joshi City (@JoshiPuro) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JoshiPuro\/status\/894050280496672769?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">August 6, 2017<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Turning On Oedo Tai<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-58858\" src=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprowrestling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2019\/12\/Hana-Kimura-Turns-On-Oedo-Tai.jpg\" alt=\"Hana Kimura\" width=\"400\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2019\/12\/Hana-Kimura-Turns-On-Oedo-Tai.jpg 400w, https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2019\/12\/Hana-Kimura-Turns-On-Oedo-Tai-200x300.jpg 200w, https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2019\/12\/Hana-Kimura-Turns-On-Oedo-Tai-280x420.jpg 280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In September 2018 Kimura would take part in one of the biggest angles of the year as she turned on Oedo Tai.\u00a0 She attacked her former allies with a chair and lay a beating on her former tag partner Kagetsu.\u00a0 This would lead to a showdown between Kagetsu and Hana Kimura at\u00a0<em>Stardom True Fight 2018<\/em> in a rare No DQ matchup that saw the two brawl all over Korakuen Hall.\u00a0 The grudge match would end via referee&#8217;s decision as Kagetsu got a measure of revenge over the new Hana Kimura.\u00a0 Kimura would spend the next few months teaming with various gaijins but lacked a true direction.\u00a0 This all changed when she signed with<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/wwr_stardom\/status\/1110085851021598720\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> Stardom full time<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Tokyo Cyber Squad<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-58885\" src=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprowrestling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2019\/12\/Tokyo-Cyber-Squad-e1575411327796.jpg\" alt=\"Hana Kimura\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Now fully committed to Stardom Hana Kimura was placed in the Faction Draft and was given the opportunity to shake up Stardom and introduce her own faction into the mix.\u00a0 Kimura would draft some of Stardom&#8217;s most popular members like\u00a0<strong>Konami\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Jungle Kyona\u00a0<\/strong>to her faction.\u00a0 With their cybergoth inspired aesthetic and housing popular talents like the two named previous TCS quickly became a hit with the Stardom audience both in Japan and internationally.\u00a0 In their first year Tokyo Cyber Squad has been extremely successful as they captured the Artist Of Stardom titles, the Goddesses Of Stardom titles, the High Speed Championship and Kimura herself won the prestigious <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprowrestling.com\/2019\/09\/22\/winner-2019-5star-grand-prix\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Stardom 5STAR Grand Prix<\/a> to cap off a breakout year for herself and her stable.\u00a0 While Hana would come up short against\u00a0<strong>Bea Priestley\u00a0<\/strong>in her title shot she would star in a <a href=\"https:\/\/squaredcirclesirens.com\/hana-kimura-to-appear-on-terrace-house-tokyo\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">popular reality show called Terrace House<\/a> ahead of Stardom&#8217;s acquisition by Bushiroad, who also owns NJPW, to round out 2019.<\/p>\n<p>2019 has been a breakout year for Hana Kimura and with Stardom&#8217;s future looking very bright she is set to be one of the names that leads the company into the future.\u00a0 Her look, talent, and popular faction make her a big asset for Stardom as they go into their new era and it is only a matter of time before we see her get her hands on either the Wonder Of Stardom or World Of Stardom championships.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Update: Hana Kimura passed away on May 23rd 2020.\u00a0 Rest in power Hana<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Stay tuned to the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Last Word on Pro Wrestling<\/a>\u00a0for more on this and other stories from around the world of wrestling, as they develop.
