It was rumoured as soon as\u00a0Anthem Entertainment, owners of IMPACT! Wrestling, acquired AXS TV<\/a> that IMPACT! would move from Pursuit Network to AXS and joined NJPW and WOW Wrestling\u00a0<\/strong>as the wrestling content on the sports network.\u00a0 It has now been made official in a press release issued by AXS<\/p>\n

“Immediately following IMPACT Wrestling\u2019s biggest pay-per-view event of the year Bound For Glory, which takes place on Oct. 20 in the Chicago area,\u00a0IMPACT!<\/em>\u00a0will begin airing weekly on AXS TV. The program will continue to simulcast globally on IMPACT Wrestling\u2019s official\u00a0Twitch<\/a>\u00a0channel.<\/p>\n

This is a big move for IMPACT! who has recently lost its fanbase due to a move to Pursuit with rumours that the company was barely pulling in 5 figures worth of viewers.\u00a0 They now join a network that handles the US distribution of New Japan Pro Wrestling, who IMPACT! have wanted to work with for a long time, as well as women’s wrestling show WOW.\u00a0 One wonders what changes will come to IMPACT! as the company is in a period of transition after losing\u00a0LAX\u00a0<\/strong>and choosing to focus extensively on former ECW stars recently.<\/p>\n
